Hi Brandi, Thanks for trying VARNAIL.💕 Love this croc nail set, so beautiful! Regarding the problem of Heat Spikes, everyone's nails feel different about heat spikes. We suggest that you can put your nails into the nail lamp for first curing 3 seconds and take it out immediately, and then put it back into the lamp to have the second curing. This way can greatly alleviate the problem of heat spikes.

So cute! I love this set. What you are feeling is the chemical reaction of the gel curing. When the molecules of the gel merge, it can cause heat spikes.

❤❤❤ I love how this set turned out! It is SOO hard to find a gel x kit with 3XL nail tips! I personally like to do longer nails on myself and I find myself not wanting to use the gel x method a lot of times simply for the sole reason that I can't do the length that I want. This kit is definitely more pricey than a lot of kits that I've seen. I'll have to look and see if they sell those tips separately because that would be awesome. But if they don't, I would definitely buy the kit just because of the tips, and the little lamp is so cute. Anyways, great job!!!

I always wiggle my fingers when I put them in my big lamp to do the full cure. It helps to prevent the heat spike initially, then after the first few seconds I hold my fingers still. I don’t get bad spikes anymore using my little trick.

A quick tip to prevent burning heat spikes: Quickly put your hand under the lamp, leave in for about 1-3 sec, pull your hand out and then put your hand right back in for the remaining cure time.

Love this set, Brandi! I get all kinds of issues if I get chemicals on my skin. Mostly crazy itching. Thanks for always warning about the allergies. They are no fun! I try to wear gloves, but unfortunately I didn’t the other night. Needed Benadryl for relief. Ps. Great color of polish on you!

Heat spikes happen on alot of clear gels even with some of the more expensive brands, just titter your hand in & out for a few seconds or use the low heat mode on your lamp chick!

When should u put on the peel off base coat ? After the dehydrator? After base coat ??

So what I do is after I film and show what the prep steps are off camera before curing the base coat I wipe my nails off to remove the base and go wash my hands, then I apply my peel off base coat. That will allow me to pop the nails off right after i’m finished filming! But you could totally apply your peel off base coat after your primer, or even after your base but the nails will probably end up lasting a bit longer. I hope that all makes sense but that is why I mention that the prep is just for educational purposes.

If you put the nails in, then take them out, then put back in, you shouldn’t get the spikes. And you could use the half setting on your lamp, it’s the 120 second setting

For the burn, if you pull out your nail once the burn starts, leave it for about 15-20 seconds, put it back in, it should be okay. I have to do that sometimes with some products. I've been told that it's the ingredients in it that cause it. I love your review of this kit!
