You're helping sell this stick to me! I already have an Oculus Quest 2 that I play E.D on. Just a shame the thrust control isn't separate from the joystick itself so you don't get that natural E.D pilot immersion.

A separate thrust is in the works for it I believe or you can use a Logitech Throttle quadrant with it.

@@HuddisonI really hope they are making a separate throttle for this cause it has 2 extra ports on the back not to mention the built in throttle levers can be used for other things (example) in msfs fuel mixture and prop tilt and probably a lot more as I am just getting into flight sim. i love this thick playing with it for a few days love love it so far.

Turtle Beach now has a profile for single flight stick configuration for Star Citizen on their website, along with complete instructions on how to place the file in the correct folder.

I think most people would use twist for yaw (rudder) and X-axis for roll. This is the way most of us have muscle memory from flight simulators, and gives you much more precise control of roll. Most ships in Elite have much more responsive pitch and roll but yaw is relatively slow to turn -- so like in aircraft for a faster turn you will roll then pitch. The detent for toggling reverse thrust sounds great. Boost not quite as much as you often want to do that without necessarily using full throttle (boost is also a maneuverability aid). Something not clear to me is whether the 'detent' stays clicked in the detent position or if it's just a momentary switch, as if a button was pushed -- so to boost a second time do you need to pull it back to 100% and then re-click the detent, or can you just push it again?

I do have one question though...Sometimes when using the yoke, I feel like the base needs to be heavier or larger because it comes up with the yoke. Do you know if the yoke sensitivity can be adjusted? Just curious. Thanks for responding!

I'm really considering buying this stick Was about to go for VKB Evo but it's always out of stock And I could just buy 2 VOne for the price of a single VKB Evo... I still have a T16000, the other one is broken, I'd use it dualsticks And I don't really want to buy a new T16000, it's not reliable enough

@@Huddison Yeah but hard to decide without being able to try it... What I really liked about the T16000 was its precision, and smoothness I've heard the course of the VOne was quite short, and that it was pretty stiff The stiffness, you'd just had to either, shorten the spring (or press it with a vice apparently) Or just loosen the screws of the backplate, so it's less stiff and more comfortable But you can't really do something about the course of the stick itself... So I'm wondering, but VKB being always out of stock, and T16000 being as reliable as a Wolkswagen... Not really much more choice here 😗 I'll probably buy a VOne tomorrow, and if it's great, I might buy a second one as a replacement for the T16000 I still have... Dualsticks all the way for Star Citizen :)

I have steam input enabled for MSFS and have had no issues with the Flightstick.

There use to be a program to make any controller emulate PS3 controller. Maybe is possible to add support for any game given such helping program.

Why would you want controllers to emulate PS3 controllers? PC games tend to do better with xbox controllers by far... are you thinking of DS4 which lets your playstation controls pretend to be xbox controllers?

But why would you buy this thing when you can get VKB Gladiator variants for even cheaper with a much better sensor, much better built quality and better software and features too? Sure you will have a few less buttons but all the ones you do have can be operated without letting go the stick or the "throttle".

Possible reasons could be: That you want this instead of the VKB Could be that you dont want to support Russian companies ( this is false info, Im now educated and know that VKB has been a international business based of China for 20-30 years with no Russian ties) Could be that you enjoy new designs and want to try it out to see if it would work for you Just to summarize: people generally dont consume based on rational arguments, but instead based on what one wants. If you want to deepen your understanding just look at the car market. People should only buy the most booring, cost/ quality effective car right? Not really how with works right. Good day!

@@arneohman VKB is not a Russian company, it was created by a Russian and they moved out of Russia many years ago. I would never buy their stuff if it were a Russian company. And the problem here is that these "reviewers" don't even mention quality products because they never did any research, instead they all hop on the same bandwagon of that commercial they saw somewhere.

It really does not work on all xbox games. My t flight one for xbox worked great. But I gave it away. It says universal but that is misleading. You will not know it until you buy it. If you are a PC player you are good to go. But if you are a xbox x player it is a waste of money. You cannot play everspace 2 on it or ace combat 7. Don't get it. Like I have said the thrustmaster t flight HOTAS played all of my flight games. If you are a xbox player I would not recommend it. At least the t flight HOTAS One was plug and play and you could also switch over to PC if you wanted. It was way more flexible for the casual gamer.

@@tswlevi Yes you can. But you cannot play other games. You can play elite dangerous. But with this HOTAS you are limited. I would get the Thrust Master One if you want to play all flight games because what they did was just simply took the Xbox controller and physically made it into a HOTAS. I gave mine away thinking that I could just use this flight stick. I was wrong. Now that being said the T.M. Is not perfect. It's not build as well as the Turtle Beach but if you cannot play all of your flight games on it then what's the point? I tried to play Everspace 2 but it only works on a xbox controller. But the PC folks can play all of the games on the Turtle beach If you are just a PC player then it's great. If you are just a xbox player then you are limited. Why? At least the Thrust Master One was truly universal. And let's forget they did say it was universal. But that's just my opinion . 😀

@@kevinrodgers7275 I read Turtle Beach released some kind of compatibility patch for this flightstick, specifically for Xbox consoles, where you could configure & map the buttons to work with most console flying games. You got any info on this subject, or is it simply a rumor.

@@ronniepatterson2827 I've heard rumors about it. But it is actually up to the actually developer to send the companies that make these products the actually kit so it can be used on their games. I find it funny that you can use that flight stick for everspace 2 for PC. But you cannot play it on your Xbox with the flight a stick.

Everspace 2 isnt purchased for my Series X just yet, but getting to play it with the Velocity One was the second reason I bought Series X. Now im stuck with the damn thing, & cant play the 2 games I jumped ship for. So GD frustrating.

@@Huddison I bought 2 tutle beach headsets in the past. The sound was amazing, but the ear broke off one and the other it feel from my lap to a carpeted floor and broke. It was less than 2 feet, and broke. They are way to delicate. I have dropped my logitech over a dozen times and never broke. But good to know their controllers are made better than their headphones.
