Mum naturally has incredibly thick nails that she keeps long and painted 24/7. On the rare occasion that a nail breaks, she literally uses dad’s industrial strength super glue on 1 ply of tissue paper to hold it back together and then just files it down a bit and polish on top. I swear she hasn’t had any issues for the past 20+ years. Ps. Dad’s an engineer/mechanic so you can imagine the crazy chemicals in the super glue he buys 😂

I've tried super gluing my nail and it never worked. Could you elaborate on the tissue paper? Like she uses it along with the glue to hold her nail together? If so, that's genius and I'll have to try it when I'm able to grow my nails out. Because of my work and personal preference I keep them short but during the winter I don't mind them being a little longer. My grandmother uses baby oil and toothbrush on her nails and they are so pretty. Best nails I've seen on someone in their 90s
