3:02 Most likely they were using a rub out pen in the video not a normal one . Rub out pens use heat from the friction of rubbing on in , so it would also work with the heat of something like a lighter to make the ink vanish.

Idk if someone has said this already but the lighter-pen hack should work with erasable pens. That's how the work in they first place. The ink disappears when there's heat. When you erase the ink with the pen's eraser, there's a lot of friction that forms and transforms into heat making the marks go away
