Great to see you on the mend again. There’s nothing better than being out on the bike. You don’t how much you miss it until you can’t.

My advise....time to take a small break......you progressed to feeling good (which is awesome ) now rest a little to make the healing permanent ..... and to ensure you can take on the stress of more miles......great job so far!!!

Adam, I'm happy for you and your nice recovery. I am just drooling over the wonderful bike lanes/paths and roads you have there compared to Ecuador.. I'll be in the States next May and June to take my New/Used 2014 Specialized Roubaix bike out of the shipping box I purchased off of Ebay and assemble it and take it for a ride. Can't wait. I am already lining up group rides( I like solo too, peaceful) any day on the bike is a good day, like any Pie is good Pie. Ciao

Great story, sorry you had to go through that. Your message is very strong and important. In my life injury seems to always be right around the corner 😮, as I get older I’m trying to get more wise. I’m currently on the tail end of planter fasciitis, and just like your story, I need to train appropriately and “not”!! overdo it ,to get to the finish line on this in. For me nowadays, it’s appropriate bike-fit from head to toe and smart training with smart recovery 😊❤️🩹.

@@cyclinginsoutherncaliforniaDitto, nine months of plantar fasciitis it’s finally going away, but I cannot ride without clipless bicycle specific shoes otherwise it’ll start coming back. I’ve tried just goofing around casually riding with flats and boots no dice. I can feel it coming back so I’ve got to stick with my specific bicycle shoes. I typically run speed play with lakes however I am going in the future try SPD’s because I just got a brand new pair of mountain bike shoes. I mainly ride trail system and some light off-road. Nothing serious. I love the float you get with the speed plays, but they’re not as easy to get in and out of as SPD’s.. and they’re starting to get old and tired and they’re crazy expensive.
