Hey Phly, just wanted to say I completely agree with you on how heavy tanks have become useless. I’ve gotten so tired of War Thunder being about who can see each other and click the fastest, rather than about having to actually think about how to kill your opponent. When I first started the game, I set a end goal of getting the T95, as I didn’t feel like playing out the whole tech tree and all that, because I loved the fact that it was supposedly a “turtle” and could block effectively block all the shots coming in frontally, when I finally got it, I got a slow, useless machine simply because nearly everything could penetrate straight through its thicket frontal armor. So, in exchange for the extremely slow speed and no turret, you’re rewarded with useless armor. However, in my excitement to get the T95, I purchased the T28, it was the best purchase I’ve made in War Thunder, because unlike the T95, the T28 actually bounces 95% of frontal shots (except for the RU 251, which just needs to be moved to 7.0). I LOVE that I can actually rely on my front being safe, and am constantly thinking about where things are on my sides, and how best to position my self to be effective. It’s great, I suggest you give it a shot to try to get the nuke. I just hope they don’t bump the T28 up to 6.7 because players whine they can’t penetrate it’s front...

Hey Phly, if you’re looking for more of a quiet and stress-free Florida getaway I cannot recommend Captiva and Sanibel island enough! I grew up going to Orlando, Disney, Miami, etc but when my family decided to take a vacation to Captiva island we absolutely fell in love with the place and bought two homes down there on the beach. It's one of the top ranked shelling beaches in the world (if you’re in to that stuff haha) and the fishing is amazing (I'm 22 now so I can finally upgrade from the push-button rod). I don't know if you’ll see this but I wish you and your wife all the best and you’ve honestly made me feel like you are family. My 4 year anniversary of being subscribed to you is on the 29th and I can’t begin to tell you how much of an impact you’ve made in my life during those 4 years. Got the nuke today with the T29. Was actually easier than I expected now that it is 2500SP. The T29 is one of my recommendations for getting the nuke. Also the amx50 is a good choice.

Best thing about those shots that get you from the side like that atgm did is the skirt is 4" thick... It's backed up by a 2" thick plate between the two sets of tracks... Then there's the 3" of armor on the side of the crew compartment. Lol. I had one guy shoot me once and the entire heatfs round went through the skirt intact, and didn't detonate until it got to the crew compartment.

In the end I gave up and switched it out for what I insist is the best vehicle in the game: the M18 Hellcat.

good line up for possible Nuke: T95, M50 (for spotting and easy kills when ambushing) T32 for being able to peek ridges safely. take out one of these as "first" tank each battle and use them to they'r max and you will have nukes in no time. i got 2977 SP from my 5th run with this setup but the game ended too quickly because my T95 was a literal WALL!

JUST AN idea here, but for tank warfare, they should determine XP and sp gain from which tank you kill, light tanks are basic amounts of Sp, medium tanks should be a bit higher, heavy tanks a little higher, super heavy tanks should be much higher, and tank destroyers depending on the tier should be the highest for that tier.

Yo phly just a little tip, if you want to mark something on the map you can press alt and put your cursor over the minimap and press on it, it will mark just the same but possibly quicker.

8:13 you are saying that just because you are currently playing a heavy tank, if you were playing a light tank and saw a heavy tank get to the objective at the same time as you you would be mad, also you can choose what tank you play on which map so... And another thing, the whole advantage of light tank is that they can get to stuff faster so giving the heavy tanks spawn closer to the point would make light tanks almost useless.
