So true! When the harmed person cannot get closure it keeps them tied to the abuser whether they want to be or not. It is heartbreaking. To never talk it out, to never be allowed to understand the why of a destructive situation is absolute cruelty. As we live and gather wisdom from life experiences, as hard as it hurts, the reality of a person's true character begins to negate any good that you believe the other person possessed. And to hurt a person so severely for money and momentary pleasure is proof enough of the true character of the person who caused harm to an innocent person. It's a tragedy and a travesty at the same time! Unfortunately, it was my life and you live with the pain until you see the truth from seeing the facts. I was not loved, I was toyed and played with and to understand that hurts. But I've healed on my own and need nothing from this person. They have to live with the knowledge of what they did.
