It’s easy once you know how to crochet shapes. I crochet without patterns all the time, and all I need is to look at photo of an animal or object and visualise in 3D. Basically my brain is a crochet copy machine 😂. Note I can follow a pattern, and can write a pattern. I just choose to crochet with a mental blueprint.
