I swear I feel like Im the only one who loved Quaquaval since the first time I saw it like my immediate impression of this mon is that game freak took all the gender they could find and put it into Quaquaval's design plus the dance they do during battle is just so lively! There's so much life in this bird I envy their spirit :')

Headcanon that I came up w just now while watching this Gary's first name is Blue but after meeting Red he decided he hated having a name that could be seen as matching so he went by his middle name, Gary, for a while which is why Oak forgor what he was going by then because he wasn't going by his first name but once he matured enough to go by a name that matched Red's he went back to using his first name Blue I am so tired rn. Also Blue Gary sounds like Blue Berry ah ha ha
