I had this issue with my daughter. I would feed her sit her up to burp her and the whole feeding would gush back out. I had to use beach towels to burp her to catch all the mess. The solution I found was to feed her in an upright position. I sat her on my lap tummy to tummy, shifted towards the side I was feeding on. As long as she ate in a way that kept the air she was swallowing above the liquid she could keep it down.

I also had the same experience with 1 of our babies. I fed her upright as well. I wasn’t able to nurse which gave me the opportunity to use slow feeding nipples and that helped slow down the feed. I also slightly elevated her mattress. Hopefully she will turn around quickly . ❣️

We had a similar experience with our second child nearly 18 years ago. We knew that there was something wrong, but several trips to multiple Doctors resulted in zero answers. All they would say is that it was likely just colic and she would grow out of it by 3 months or so. By the time she was six weeks old we were beside ourselves with worry (and sleep deprivation) because she couldn't eat without screaming herself silly (before and after) and then spitting nearly everything she had just eaten back up. Long story short, one terrifying experience later, which included one week in the hospital and countless tests, an upper GI test (drinking barium) indicated that she had "significant acid reflux", which wasn't found on the normal ultrasound. I pray you guys find the answers you need and/or that she grows out of it quickly!

My last baby had colic and pain, I had a wonderful young chiropractor who touched her somewhere on her back. He said she had a kink in her colon that just need some help straightening out. My baby was a couple weeks old at the time. Immediately she was a different baby, no more crying and doubling up her feet. She was peaceful and a pleasure after that! I was so Thankful for this doctor and him telling me sometimes it happens in newborns. Easy fix and her life and the mine were blessed!

So with my last child (she’s 4 now) I found I had to release my “let down” first before feeding her otherwise she would throw up everywhere. Especially after having 3 kids your body says “I’m totally ready for this” so you body may be still trying to regulate specifically for Millie. Our let downs can be too much too fast for baby sometimes. Try releasing into bottle or sink just before feeding Millie. Her tummy may thank you for it! This is a totally normal thing guys, she’s going to be okay :) so cool to see you being so concerned, you are such good parents.

That was a great episode, thank you, praying that little Millie will get over this and be well too... great idea to weigh her before and after feeding, I used to have to do that with my older son as well, he had reflux, he had to be in a Frasier chair 24/7 wasn’t allowed to sleep in bed as he choked once and went blue before we were able to revive him and they found out it was because of reflux. The little valve wouldn’t stay closed to keep food from coming back up. So he ended up sitting / sleeping in a Frasier chair for first year of his life. He’s perfect now and he’s a grown man lol :)

as a newborn, my daughter would violently vomit my milk once to twice a day. after a week of it happening, I strictly cut dairy from my diet, the vomiting completely stopped. at 5 months she got a skin test that revealed an allergy to dairy, eggs, and other stuff. praying you guys can figure things out and your sweet millie gets better!

Ok, I loved this video, its just so everyday family stuff. AND I’m so happy Millie does not need surgery! Have you checked into foods that may upset Millie? I, like you, had one of my three daughters that was colicky and did the projectile vomiting fun. We walked the floor nightly, cleaned up many messes until she basically out grew the colic; about 4-5 months of age. As you know, each baby is so individually different that what you do for one may or may not work for the other. So, like you, we kept loving and looking for things that may instigate her problem. 41 years later, she’s a beautiful mom of four herself having successfully lived through the long nights herself with fussy baby. All this rambling to say, you all are doing a fantastic job at reasoning through this process. Trying and trying again. Keep it up. Praying for you and little Millie along this journey. You all are so cute sharing your food experiments. Logical and funny 😆 Thanks for sharing your life with us. You are loved so much Crosby Family!!!

For what this is worth, I would like to share something from YEARS ago. In the late 70's when my babies were born, the first 2 had colic. We were going to this church with my second, and a chiropractor in my church said he wanted to adjust my baby. He said that sometimes during birth a vertebra (I think the 4th maybe....)That ITS TO the baby's digestion, and causes some pain to the stomach, making her feel she's hungry, which is why she wanted to suck so much. It seemed to help after a few adjustments. Since it was years ago I don't know what the scoop is now regarding this. Just an FYI🙂

My grandmother took my uncle to a chiropractor in desperation circa 1955. He was a newborn and had developed some kind of rash that wasn’t responding to anything. The doctors said it would be a lifelong condition (I think it was diagnosed as excess). The rash went away after the appointment. Correlation isn’t causation, but she swore that’s what resolved the rash. He never had skin problems again.

My baby did this too. The doctor laughed at me when I brought him in. Apparently lots of kids do this because the sphincter isn't fully developed at the top of the stomach for some kids until they are 6 months. It isn't harmful, we just had to feed him very slowly and in small amounts at a time and that helped reduce it. It stopped almost six months on the dot. As for weighing what they are eating- he said as long as they are having wet and dirty diapers and growing on track, they are getting enough. Hope yours ends up being a simple problem too!

I am sorry your doctor laughed at you. He/she shouldn't have. It isn't harmless. My son's GERD/acid reflux was so severe, he quit swallowing, which led to him aspirating food and reflux. It also caused his adenoids to become huge and that caused obstructive sleep apnea. On the first visit to our third pediatrician begging for answers, he sent us straight to the hospital to be admitted for tests. His partner came to see us the next day and told us he would not discharge our son until he had surgery to wrap his stomach around the bottom of his esophagus. They did it on a Saturday 4th of July weekend to put into perspective the urgency. He told us it was a miracle he had not died from aspiration pneumonia, which he had when he was admitted and no one even had done an x-ray on him so none of us knew. He also, like Millie, was a comfort eater. So he was never failure to thrive, which led to lots of people brushing him off. I will never forget the first doctor saying after we had this ultrasound they had that it was "just gerd". Just GERD changed our lives. My child has had a feeding tube since he was 14 months old and a ton of other problems. But they all started with GERD, and it almost killed him. He is 15 now.
