Trying to fix a Bang Olufsen Beocenter 9500

My beocenter 9500 is completely still working from 1986 also beolab 6000 working good too

Nice to see you're just getting started. Still working on the Beocenter 8500 and have now replaced all the strings, the doors are working again but still need some adjustment. Remove the memory battery and purchase the holder and solder it to the circuit board. Temporary antenna connection soldered. The glass panels were all re-glued into the frames. The transformer does start to hum after a day or so, but turn it off and put it on so that all the steam is gone. The cord probably had an on-off clicker on it. My father did this to almost all equipment that had power left on. It may also be that the transformer also starts to hum after a day or so, just as I described Good luck with this beautiful equipment from the good years. Greetings camera hifi.restore

Hi, I just got a 9500 and the tapes start playing for about 3 seconds, then flip over to the other side for a few seconds, then stop. So it works for a few seconds, will it just need cleaning?

the lube on the take up spindles is dry

All second hand electronics that come from Germany for example have the power chord cut to simbolize the unit is defective/has problems beyond worth of repair 99% of the time

You forgot the 3rd belt!

You're right! The 3rd belt to the Hall Sensor. Is the same drive as in my Beocord 7000. 🙂
