Trying To Fix Stuff: Some PowerA Nintendo Switch Controllers (Drift/Loose/No Power)

A couple of these had some (easy) fixes, one with a bad analog stick/thumb stick, drift, and no power. Let's see if we can crack them open and get them working :)

Your example cleaning out the analog sticks to avoid drift worked for my C-stick that was perpetually off-center. Thank you.

Thank you so much for making this vid!! I Had a C stick that was bouncing all over the place and pulling in the opposite direction when I used it, but thanks to your vid I was able to clean up the contact points and now it works like new. thank you so much dude!!

Where can I find the silicone for these controllers for the A, B, X and Y? It doesn’t look like the older style silicone would fit. (For the Power A wireless controller)

I don't think there's any replacements available. And I haven't found any that would look similar on any other controllers I've disassembled.

Are there any replacement for the rubber thumb sticks? I have seen the whole thumb stick on Amazon but I don't if it will fit

Unfortunately, none that I've seen for these. You might be able to swap the entire analog stick, desolder the old one, with a replacement that would fit the aftermarket replacement gameube thumb caps. The depth of the replacement caps might be too high or low though

You qould be forfeiting a good part of the gamecube controller ether the c stick or what ever you mean

It should fit it just fine. I frequently just replace the bad potentiometer and I have spare broken analog sticks (like physically broken shafts) that I've taken from PS4 and Xbox One controllers that I'll pull and use to fix other controllers
