@@Muho_is_me I'm almost 100 percent sure it was an issue with space. Ducks have a natural instinct when it comes to water. They don't sweat getting wet.

Idk i think ita just because its a big metal and deep container for the water , there used to be duck families that would settle in this shallow garden pond and the mum would be sorta crawling while the ducklings would swim , so it was probably just confusing and strange for these ducklings

Free piece of advice. If you have ducklings, don't use the sink. Use the bathtub. You don't have to fill it really full, just enough for them to swim in. But they'll appreciate the space.

They are looking to you to be mom and your out of the water and the will want to be where you are because it's safe. You will never see mom on the bank with babies in the water.
