Regarding the task on colors, I'm pretty sure you can sort-filter the items based on their type and then bulk-assign the color to the selected group in one go. Knowing automation tricks is the key to 10x productivity, it could be the reason they are giving you these assignments so that you acquire the skills via questioning efficacy of manual methods.

Hahahaha this might have been their hidden agenda 😂😂 maybe i was just too immersed in my emotions, but I do think they should include some type of automation for this, I specifically asked but they did say there weren't any. 🤷‍♀

I think it’s because you’re at a large firm. When you are trying to learn it’s best to learn from talking with experts. Small firms and sales employers that take on some more risk when employing will more likely invest more resources into training them. I definitely think skill stacking is important but architecture is pretty technical so if you want to learn other skills you need to expect a long period of education. It’s hard to stay on that path when you have social media showing you all kinds of less technical more short term investment skills like marketing sales journalism investing paying dividends early in life. But if you can skill stack with architecture it will make you more unique and I would say there’s more potential to become a billionaire. It’s just gonna take a very long time and delayed gratification but you will be very valuable and irreplaceable at 35.

Firm size is definitely the case! and yes I will never disregard things I learned in architecture, and I will definitely consider your points and insights, let's see where this journey and skill stacking will take me! 😊 thank you for commenting as well🌱

My favourite video on this channel. I hope everything works out for you Glory thank you for being so transparent, I am also going to start an architecture course this year and find comfort in knowing there are more paths to go down after the degree. Everything will be okay I promise!

Hey glory, I could completely understand what you are you going through right now. My story is very similar to yours. The part where you were crying in the washroom about making pdfs is what makes me write this comment. I loved architecture and designing while I was in architecture school. I loved to use my creativity and create my design projects at school. I always visioned myself as a full fledged architect after graduation. It's so weird how similar our stories are coz when I went into an architectural firm for internship my future goals changed too. In fact the workplace actually changed my passion I had for architecture. And trust me this firm actually made me change files into pdfs too and the work environment was actually very toxic and my workmates weren't friendly too. And i remember crying in washroom while was in that firm just like you. I was a shock to me how this first firm I worked in made me hate architecture work at some point. But then when a second firm for internship it was very different. This second firm actually brought back my passion for architecture. But then again while trying to practice architecture I realized that I couldn't really design like how I designed at school. Also since I am from India people here rely a lot on vastu which stands in the was of designing like how we learned to design in architecture school so I quit practicing architecture too. Later I opened a small restaurant business and it went on well and i am still passionate about architecture though. You could try changing your firm and if you still feel like you want to quit then you should start your own business. Having your own business will actually give you a lot of time and energy to enjoy your life. Sending lots of hugs your way for all of those teary parts. Stay strong you will reach your goals someday.

Glory, have you thought about different architecture firm? Maybe you could still find the excitement for architecture but not at this company. I have a similar experience - I was working at the amazing law firm and I loved it. Then I changed firms because the team at my old firm ended. And now I am at the new firm which sucks and gives juniors the most pointless and stupid tasks. I still have passion for law but I hate doing it in the current firm.

Let me tell you one thing: Nothing worth having comes easy, especially in the business life. Starting a business requires capital, and no one is going to give you anything for free, ever! Yes it takes grind and sheer hard work. We sometimes literally work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and it is just me and my husband at the business. And at well over the age of 40 we are far from being millionaires. Everything comes at a price and everything requires work and effort. The trick is to find an activity which you like doing. Only then will grind and work appeal to you!

Hey Glory, very random but try wearing more colour, I know it's difficult but you will be surprised the type of energy it gives out to the world compared to black. All I can say is during the most difficult time in my life all I wore was black... now not so much, I wish I knew this sooner!!

Thanks 135! This comment actually made me laugh because my friends tell me the same thing! Weirdly enough i just like black because i don't have to think what colour to wear - but I promise you it doesn't make me more sad! 😛

@@glorykuk It's not that it makes you more sad, it's the energy it puts out to the world is more sad and it will then reflect on you without you even knowing!
