The think is, because of the way percentages work, if you really want to end the year at 60%, you really need to be hovering somewhere between 50-60% EVERY month in order to remain within striking distance at the end of the year, unless you plan to stop buying books at a certain point so that you can focus on catching up. But because you are counting books that are gifted to you, and Christmas falls at the very end of the year, you would have to actually be OVER 60% at that point in order to give yourself a cushion! This vlog really strengthens my desire to pick up The Will of the Many, but it's so long, and my TBR is so crowded that I don't know when I will be able to fit it in. * cries *

I completely understand about your poor furbaby. One of mine started losing weight for some unknown reason, but she was still eating. After I noticed the weight loss I was feeding her and her siblings when she howled while eating and then slunk away. Took her to the vet and come to find out she had a bacterial infection on her teeth. It made her mouth terribly sore. Her gums became all red and raw, but we couldn’t see it because it was in the back of her mouth. It was treatable with medicine for a long time, but then the medicine started hurting her liver. We almost lost her. After that the option was to remove her back teeth. She had to completely relearn how to eat. She has done great once she did that!

I wanna see the DNF chronicles included with this. DNFing new purchased books is helpful. Sometimes I hold off reading books because it wears the new off and allows me to dnf.

So glad you picked up and loved The Will of the Many! It was also my first James Islington book. It is my top favourite book of the year so far, joint with the Mars House by Natasha Pulley which i think you'd also enjoy. It has great they/them representation, a discussion around the treatment of refugees, and there's a thriller element, and a little bit of romance. It's a sci fi set on Mars in the future. You've finally convinced me to pick up Red Rising with your comparison to The Will of the Many. I read the first 50ish pages years ago and for several reasons put it down and never felt the need to pick it up. But for you, i shall try again! Also I love the range of genres read in this vlog, and the vlog title. Thank you for the content :)

"Good God Girl Get A Grip" you should trademark that and put it on a shirt hahahaha The first time the page counter went up I got scared and thought something fell behind you. This is why I shouldn't watch videos and make thumbnails at the same time. Your percentage is looking great! I'm excited to see how you keep up with it! 💸💸

I’m located in Tallahassee and those girls are still mourned here. My neighbor was a first cousin of one of the girls that Bundy killed and he would go into the high schools and tell her tale and provide some security tips, something unheard of in the 80s. He was a lovely man but so tortured. I might have to pick this one up. 💸💸💸💸💸💸

The teeth fact I did know. Because my calico has four teeth that reabsorbed with. No. Trace. Like the roots were even gone. Apparently it is more prone in older female cats. But of course with the patented Leanne Luck I’m not surprised you’re boy had it too 😂😂

This made me go back and look at how many books I had read of the ones I bought this year...rude. LOL!! The numbers are not great. Maybe this will help me reassess some things so I don't die buried in my apartment under a pile of books. Even if there are worse ways to go out.
