When I was bleaching my hair to platinum I swore by the apogee two step process. It made it so much more manageable! It’s messy, a bit of a pain to apply, and yes smells... BUT the results speak for themselves. It will save your hair.

My Sally's was out of the aphogee so I bought the ion and it was def not the same or even comparable. The ion did absolutely NOTHING. I was so mad. I hope I can get my hands on aphogee soon! My hair is in despair!

I worked at Sally's beauty supply for 3 years, and I absolutely hated ion. I never recommended it or used it because I felt it sucked and did nothing. All of my coworkers loved it and would upset it to everyone and I didn't get it. I used it before I even worked there and felt like it did nothing. Ion is absolute trash. Only thing I really like is some of their hair dye and their silk drops. That's about it. And trust me. I've tried almost everything there.

I bleached my long black dyed hair that was down to my bum 5 times!.... it damadged it alot! But apohgee saved my hair... its been a year now I've had a few trims and my hair is still really long past my bra strap.... apohgee really is great stuff I couldn't get a comb through my wet hair now I can and its getting there!🥰

You should try cutting it shorter first and then doing the treatment and then last resort just cut it all off if you really want to. My hair is super damaged right now from bleaching it alot but its still strong and I know once I get my hair cut itll feel way better.

That Aphogee treatment has saved my hair from falling out of my head when I left bleach on too long. I swear by it! The Ion one was just a nice conditioning mask for me, but didn't save it when my hair was fuuucked Also, did anyone else get like 16 ads on this video??!

The aphogee treatment literally is the only thing that makes my hair manageable. I have had green hair for about four years straight now which means lots of bleach! I prefer the aphogee karatin spray treatment that seals in with heat. But I love all their products! I agree that they could use a fragrance revamp though

Fragrance is terrible for your hair. I would rather just deal with the smell than use something that's supposed to help with ny hair but does damage because of Fragrance

I should mention I washed my hair and then put olaplex 3 in my hair and slept with it in and then washed and cond the next morning. I’ve done this several times and it has literally fixed my hair from straw to basically feeling like virgin hair.

That ion repair stuff is the bomb! Side note: I cannot believe that’s how much regrowth you have after only 3 months! I only do a root touch up twice a year since my hair doesn’t grow. 😂

As a professional, Aphgogee is still my favorite protein repair treatment. Especially for extremely porus hair, not only for clients coming in with bleach breakage but also to use before an intense color (reds, copper, brights). It is also excellent to cut frizz and encourage uniform curls on curly hair. Warning! ONLY USE it 1x every 6 weeks max or your hair can become over protentized and break. The next best in my opinion is Paul Mithcell Awapui Keratriplex 2 step treatment.

Using a spray bottle for the aphogee is definitely the way to go! I did it that way when I used it last time, after years of using just my hands or a brush and bowl and WOW it's so much easier with a spray bottle 😂 I felt so stupid for not trying it sooner lol

I just used the aphogee because i toned my hair the other day and for some reason it made it super dry again but the two step treatment is a life saver to me and its only like $4. It just turns your hair back to the way it was, manageable, soft, and just amazing. i recommend.

I've shaved my head twice because I was so sick of hoe damaged my hair was. I used to dye it a toooooon. I would have shaved it a lot more, if not for the aphogee treatment. I've used it 4 or 5 times over the last 10 years or so, and everytime I do, I wonder why I didn't do it sooner. I can't really speak to how long it lasts because of how often I used to bleach my hair. But my god it's incredible.

Ion has a protine filler product that's meant to be used before applying color, to make it more even. That product gets really hard and crunchy like the aphrogee two step. I've always used it between bleaching and coloring, so I'm not sure how it works with no dye, but I'd imagine they dye doesn't effect the treatment. It's always made my hair feel way stronger and it has no scent at all! It's amazing.

Thank you for this. I am in the UK and I had fried my hair with triple bleaching. I tried Olaplex and just about everything else on the market. Then I was recommended Aphogee, WOW! Yes, it has a strange smell but the results are great. From fried to silky in 1hr. I highly recommend this product too. Maybe a drop or two of essential oil would help the aroma?

I use the Aphogee products quite often. I love the two step protein treatment but you cannot use it often because it will dry out your hair and break it off. I like to bleach my hair as well and the Aphogee treatment has helped to minimize the damage and to keep it from breaking.

I once murdered my hair with a home straightening kit, around 15 years ago. The only products that made it vaguely resemble hair again where Philip Kingsley Elasticizer and Kerastase Aqua Oleum. I'm an ex hairdresser I should've known better than to attempt anything like that at home with a shop bought kit. Currently loving Colour Wow Dreamcoat and surprisingly because it's so cheap, Tresemme clarifying shampoo. Those two products together are all I need right now.

The Aphigie treatment worked so well on my hair. I don't use it more than once every 4 months or so, but it is my go-to. I tried the ion recently and agree the smell is a million times better, but doesn't work nearly as well

Yeah same experience. That’s why I didn’t stop using aphogee because the Ion felt like it didn’t do much. To me if I was looking for a protein treatment I’m not looking for soft hair I wanted strong hair. So that was the first and last time I brought ion over my usual aphogee

I use aphogee on my mothers hair and also mine because we both have colorful hair, we both feel the difference and love it, but I put it in a spray bottle and it’s much easier to apply that way :)

Yeah it’s easiest to use a bottle with the aphogee treatment step 1, some ppl use it in a spray bottle, but I always feel like it would destroy the bottle! For my super bleached hair I’ve been consistently using olaplex 3 and every 6+ weeks I will do the 2-step treatment and my hair is somehow still here!

I use the Aphogee for repairing after a bleaching job gone bad. The gummy hair and major fallout due to leaving bleach on too long. Aphogee repairs my hair immediately. My go to for immediate results. Olaplex and other fancy stuff doesn’t come close

I just used the Aphogee Keratin 2 minute Reconstructor & it did wonders for my sad, fragile bleached ends. It's not as intimidating as the 2 step one that you used (I'm afraid of the whole hair hardening part lol) but it doesn't smell bad so I def suggest it for anyone who needs some protein replenishment!

I have naturally curly hair and I used the aphogee treatment when I was trying to get my curl pattern back after years of straightening, would definitely recommend!! Although I bought the bottle and it has an applicator nozzle, so maybe try that?

I don't know how these things work but I recently did a bleach bath to my hair to remove most of the red pigments so i can go ginger. I did it with 30 vol developer. And my hair were so damaged and dry after ,when my hair have been soft all these years. And i recently ran out of hair mask so I bought the Elvive Power Mask,it looks like a protein powder container and you can use it as a leave in conditioner,rub it on your scalp,leave it as a mask for 3 mins and you can also use it on dry hair. And within a WEEK,my.hair went back to normal. All soft,no dead ends,silky smooth and shiny. Used it as a mask on wet hair and after the shower,i would use a generous amount on my dried ends and brush it good. My ends felt a bit oily and heavy but the next day,when my hair has absorbed it all,they felt waaaaay better.And after using it for 2 weeks,showering my hair 3 times a week as i do have an oily scalp,it helped my hair so much. You HAVE to try this hair mask,ITS BOMB!!!!

Giovanni Nutrafix Hair reconstructor is what I use and it's AMAZING. It's not as heavy duty as these treatments, just a regular ol' conditioner, but it really does work on damaged hair and smells like tutti-frutti. It makes hair easy to detangle and feel thicker, but not as "brittle" as some protein treatments can do (also vegan and cruelty free!) It definitely saved my hair when I went from black to magenta to white in a year.

Aphogee 100% works better. Their protein base is a lot more compatible with hair and has a higher binding rate than the ion formula. However! I don't like the balancing moisturizer! When I do hair I use the aphogee protein step 1 and replace the step 2 with the ion repair step 2 (they sell both at Sally's in large containers so I can just buy individually what I want to use) Helps cancel out that aphogee smell lmao

Aphogee is the way to go. I bleached my hair with 30 vol 4 times in a two week time span and aphogee is the only reason I’m not bald now. I haven’t tried the Ion so I can’t really say anything about it.

Try the olaplex treatment its a new one. I always bleach my hair also. I used it this last time i retouch (bleached) my roots and it works like a miracle. Its a two step treatment, a bit expensive but totally worth it

That icy white with the natural roots is stunning on you. How did you end up getting the punky colors out, and getting back to your icy blonde color when you had so much damage? Also what did you tone or color it with?
