@@Claudia-lq3ns I work with a dementia patient for in home care and it’s all about how you treat them. If the person inside was good, they will generally be good. And if you treat them well, they will treat you well. Of course they start to become more aggressive sometimes but not to the extent of abusing animals. That’s just who that woman was and is. I think a good punch in the face would humble her up real fast.

Thank you for stepping in and trying to help this poor, suffering animal. You guys handled the situation beautifully. Even tho I know this woman is not working with a full deck, I don't think I would have been able to conduct myself so professionally. In fact, when she started charging you guys, I probably would have grabbed the sticks right out of her hand and break them in front of her. If she struck me, I would likely at least push her to the ground. Not the best way to handle it, and I can feel my anger rising in this video. It is a felony in the United States to knowingly abuse an animal. No medical care is abuse. If she is the owner she is committing a crime. If she is not the owner she cannot stop you from taking the cat. She needs social services anyway

I run a rescue in NYC. That woman would have been handled while one of us quickly grabbed the kitty. Illegal but minor laws dont matter when someone's life is in obvious danger. We will deal with the consequences later.
