Thank you for sharing what’s going on with your personal life, and believe me when I say you are not alone and we’ve all been there one time or another. I actually just started with a new company and in a field I never thought I’d work in and I LOVE IT. It’s so rewarding and it feels so great being able to help others so I’m very happy I found my place and get to work with the people I do. Like you said big believer in everything happens for a reason, one door closes so another one can open. It may take a week or months or a year but it will happen you just gotta ride the wave and push through until it does. ❤

I can only speak for myself; but what makes a book creepy or scary or freaks me out is the element of plausibility. Like, if the characters or scenarios or whatever COULD actually exist in real life - then its ON. However, if there are too many flights of fancy or demands on my suspension of disbelief then I get "meh" about it. Good for you for being self aware enough to realize you are yearning for some change in your job. Listening to your soul will never steer you wrong. P.S. None of us have it all figured out, you are not alone in that. Best of luck!

I really like your videos. Nice tattoos! I feel for what you’re going through, I have PTSD and bad depression. I’ve been in therapy for years. Im 57 and starting a new career. It’s very difficult to maneuver through life when your mind and body make it hard to push forward. I can see you are a strong woman and I feel you have good support from Luke. I'm now looking to change jobs and maybe even career. I know it feels like you've already invested so much time in what you're doing now, but given that we have to work until we're old 😩 you're still very much in the beginning of your career life, it's not too late to change areas and especially try new things! I feel EXACTLY what you are going through with your career path. I have been at my job for 6 years and I want to do something else…but I’m so intimidated because the thought of starting over at 32 is terrifying. But when I ask myself the question you asked yourself (“will I regret staying/not changing?”), the answer is yes for me too. I have no idea what that would look like, though, and that’s a scary thought. I’m sorry you are going through this too…thank you for sharing…it’s nice to know I’m not alone in these feelings even though I wish all of us could find fulfilling paths. I think if we get out of our comfort zones little by little, we will show ourselves that we can go outside the bounds we’ve set in our minds. Like how you mentioned you’ve been lifting weights for 2 years but now you’re training for a 5k…I’m doing the exact same thing right now. I’m a weight lifter too and I’m intimidated as all hell by running, but I joined a run club and just started doing it (after months of internal debate, of course lol). I think it’s really cool that you’re venturing outside of your own expectations even in that seemingly small way, and I think that can translate to other aspects of our lives. Anyway, all that to say that you are absolutely not alone in your feelings and even though I’m just a random on stranger on the internet, I genuinely hope you can find the encouragement and support to figure out the path (or paths!) that will lead you to fulfillment. (Also love your tattoo!!)

Change is hard and it kinda sucks. Even when it's good change there's something about it that sucks. What whole heartedly sucks is the job market right now. My partner tracked his stats on his last job hunt and he applied to a thousand plus jobs. It's rough. But he wound up with a job he loves. It's hard, but the work has to be done and the work is the hardest part. While the work is going, focus on yourself, your care, what you enjoy doing or the work will consume you and you'll feel more and more lost. It's going to be scary, but you're brave. You got this.

The scariest book I have ever read is the one I am listening to now: Nuclear War - A Scenario, by Annie Jacobson. It is a near second-by-second scenario of what would happen in the event of a nuclear attack. Basically, the world would end in less than a half hour, and the survivors would end up envying the dead. The book is well researched, and the details are granular. This is not a book of fiction. I have read The Road by Cormac McCarthy, I Am Legend by Richard Matheson, and Salem’s Lot by Stephen King. All terrified me, especially at night. One of the scariest horror movies I’ve seen is 30 Days of Night. Not sure if there is a book by the same title.
