An mv reaction within the first 24 hours is totally fine. I'm an older Army and that "rule" was because of the old way KZbin counted streams. They've changed it, so we're not strict about that kind of thing anymore. A full album listen, however (like this), is better after 24 hours. No true Army would watch it, imo.
@KaterynaM_UA4 жыл бұрын
why doe it matter if you can't stream on a loop an HAVE to watch other videos of the views to count? I always think that reactions are perfect for that spot.

When they were doing their closing statements during their online concert, Jimin completely broke down in tears and told us how frustrated and overwhelmed he felt about the situation. The fact that they choose to share their vulnerability with millions of people is so amazing. I think that's what Life Goes On is so special. They're telling us that they feel the same way we do, that they understand, and that's why this song is so comforting. You hit the nail on the head with that interpretation. Also can I just say you're the only reactor who has actually understood the bike scene in LGO. Everyone is like "huh? what's with the bike?" lol it's something so small, but that fact that you got that he was sad about not being able to bike while everyone else is confused made me laugh.

fun fact: Blue & Grey is a song about working through and staying strong through gloominess and anxiety. also, for the song Blue & Grey, Taehyung was originally going to put it on his mixtape but ended up putting it on the album. he worked on the song with one of his friends outside of BTS called NIve, who has a video on the breakdown of the song Blue & Grey. all the sounds you hear and how it was put together. watching NIve's In The Lab video will give you a lot of insight on what went into that song. one things he explains is that, although you can't really hear it, there is a heartbeat sound in the background that they added to try and add a sense of comfort, because as babies and humans we feel soothed by heartbeats. once you know it's there, and where it is, you can't unhear it. the sentiment put into just that song itself is astonishing. the rest of the songs are phenomenal too, we just have an extra insight on Blue & Grey thanks to NIve, who is another great feel-good, accept yourself artist.

I really like the progression of this BTS album. The entire album is about life during the time of C19. The lyrics are pretty relatable. The first few songs on BE address mental health-the loneliness, depression, and anxiety of the pandemic and after the skit/interlude of when BTS debuted at #1 Billboard100 for first time (even in sadness of pandemic something good can happen) in the middle of the album we come out of the pandemic fog and the tracks are more upbeat as we push forward and dance again, because as the title track on the album says..life goes on! Life Goes On and Dynamite are so different on the album as the opening and closing tracks (respectively) is because the entire album is a progression of ‘lows and highs’ feelings we have as we move through the pandemic. Blue&Grey is my favorite song off the album. It’s a song V created for his mixtape but the other members liked it allot so they all decided to include it on BE album..It’s lyrically very poetic and touches on depression and burnout and has some beautiful string arrangements. The song has allot of depth with regards to mental health. I really love and appreciate the reference to the “grey rhino” when it comes to depression: a metaphor for a threat that is obviously coming at you, but you don't take action about.

For BTS releases it's a 24 hour lockdown. We do this for streams and charting, as well as giving people the time to absorb the music. Like a musical moment of silence in respect to the ones that put so much effort into creating. But as soon as its 24hr + 1 second, it's all clear.
@promisetourself4 жыл бұрын
I've got to admit, I don't understand that reasoning: isn't it pretty known that your views for the MV don't count unless you watch 3-5 different videos inbetween? What does it change if I watch a few reaction videos instead of, like, only GRWM and makeup reviews?
@cieradivens39344 жыл бұрын
@@promisetourself true, we do have to watch videos in-between. But since it’s 3-5 videos shouldn’t they be on the shorter side? Like maybe a song reaction as opposed to an album breakdown? Unless the number of videos doesn’t matter and it’s more focused on time in between? I truly don’t know. But I do tend to save those longer videos for the next day. I wouldn’t be upset with someone for uploading a longer video, but I would save it for later. So if many other people are planning on doing the same, it may be a good idea to just wait to post. But who really knows. 💜💜💜💜
@scalem54974 жыл бұрын
@@promisetourself a lot of the time, it's better to watch BTS-only videos in between, like official mvs and the like. Also, song reactions are too long, usually 8 mins. It also counts to billboard if u listen to the songs on BANGTANTV. Lyric vids and reactions just divides the views somewhere that doesn't benefit BTS in any way. Esp since lyric vids are kind of useless bc the lyrics are already in the music video anyways.
@i_think_i_am_lost4 жыл бұрын
@@promisetourself yes, it is pretty well known that replaying over and over and over again won't count. The suggestion comes mainly for the channels that make uploads of lyric videos that rush to make wrong the translations. Or for the people that will purposly watch only reaction videos because they don't want to give the original content any views. That's why there are so my "bts reacts to _____" videos, it's the name of the clout. Also there are a lot of first minute reactors that don't even like the group or will just watch the video and once it's done will end the video with no contribution. They just post immediately after release to monetize ARMY views. We ask for the 24hrs as a respect to the original content. We can watch other bts created content or videos from other channels that are non bts related inbetween. And it's not a law, it's more of a fandom courtesy to give the original content direct attention during the first day of release. (Edit: autocorrect)

actually, fly to my room is more about an individual finding comfort inside of their own room since we are all quarantining (a lyric also says that since we can't go out, we can make our room our world). a lot of people have this connotation of their bedroom being the place where they can let their emotions out and now that's true more than ever. i think that's what they were trying to say more than "let's all hang out in my room". since the chorus does go "let ME fly to MY room". but interpretations are obviously valid, just wanted to say this!!

I keep coming back to this video, especially when I manage to go on longer walks and just enjoy being outside with no people. This is probably the fourth or fifth time I listen to it. Also, if you haven’t listened to them yet, there are a lot of big BTS songs that you would probably like. I would suggest -Fake love -Spring Day -Fire -Anpanman -Mic drop -Butterfly Honestly I could add a lot more songs to this list but I’ll stop😅

Blue & Grey was written by the member V (Taehyung) when he was at his lowest and thought of quitting the group, it was originally supposed to be put on his future mixtape but the members loved it so much they put it on BE. Everyone say, thankyou Kim Taehyung.

the album dropped at midnight for me, and once i was done listening to it, before i went to sleep i just thought “that felt like a hug”. it’s so comforting in so many different ways, it just felt like hearing the words of someone who deeply cares about you telling you it’s okay to feel and reassuring you that it won’t always be this way.

What a great review! I've been looking forward to your video, because so often you articulate what I'm also feeling on my first blind listen! Also, despite ongoing trials and sadness and anxiety (all valid), we can all celebrate their first Grammy nomination as a group! There's bound to be a huge range of feels in these trying times, so it's lovely for them to acknowledge that and in turn be rewarded and feel our love being sent back to them.

I dont think its morbid to want others to feel the same. Its a deeply imbedded desire of most if not everyone to be able to feel a connection with another person. to ease the sense of loneliness that we all experience from time to time. it just means your human. love your reactions you are always so perceptive. and thank you for addressing issues which need addressing. you're doing a great job , be you and always remember its okay to not be okay. ^_^

You are one of my favorite reactors because you dont feel like a "reactor". There is just something so fresh and new about your style of reacting because you just dont react, you take your time, analyze, and in beautiful words, you express how heach song makes you feel. I really really appreciate your reactions 💜 also how do you get the exact meaning of things without even looking at the lyrics?? You have to be some kind of genius! You are proof that you dont need to know lyrics to a song in order to feel something or some kind of connection 🙌🏻🙌🏻

i only discovered BTS a bit over 4 months ago and i immediately fell in love with them, but literally every new thing i learn about them makes me love them more. look at this whole album, the topics and emotions they addressed, most artists don't do anything even close to this. BTS might be literally the best artists, like, objectively. i've never experienced anything like this before.

Just some notes that you might want to know about the songs and album. For the Life Goes On MV Jungkook, the youngest member, was the director for the music video. Taehyung was the visual director for the album itself (physical packaging, styling, and photoshoots), the song Blue and Grey was supposed to be on Taehyungs mixtape but the members convinced him to put it on the album, similarly Stay was supposed to be on Jungkook's mixtape but was adapted for the album. Also with "Stay" one things that army pointed out was that the song is with the members Jin, Jungkook, and RM and the connection was that RM was the one who got Jungkook to be apart of BTS and Jin was the one who convinced Jungkook to stay. So, it's really cute and sentimental sub unit.

I love how you try to interpret the songs first in your own way, sharing how each song connects and feels through the melodies, the harmonies and the beats - and thereafter, diving into the lyrics and further explaining the concepts, further weaving your own interpretation with the actual meaning together. I can feel the sincerity through your thoughts and conversation. I'm glad you're one of those that look far deeper than the surface. As Jimin would say, "You nice, keep going!" :)

BTS would enjoy this reaction so much. I think your reaction is exactly what they wanted to achieve. I'm so glad you got it so fast. It took me a little longer, honestly. I love it though.

It's amazing how you interpreted Life Goes On perfectly even before reading the lyrics. Music really does transcend language 💜 Edit after watching the whole video: you interpreted every song on point! Also I cry every time you cry :'))

I loved your reaction! You were so honest, vulnerable, and I couldn’t agree more with everything you were saying and feeling. Seemed like you were feeling the Jimin effect while listening to this album (as we all were). Can’t wait to see more of your reactions.

I honestly love watching your videos so much. I truly enjoy seeing you listen to them first without reading the lyrics and actually realize what they wanna tell with their music.I'm glad you listened to this one too,this album truly does bring so much comfort . I feel like we all needed this in these trying times

Your videos always warm my heart. I guess exactly because of the reason you expressed with not wanting other people to be miserable but the morbid commiseration and being heard and validated. I only found BTS in February, right before the pandemic, but I 100% wouldn't have made it through his year without them hearing me and pulling me up, even though we don't speak the same language. And the way you pick up on a message and find things that I didn't even feel or put words to having heard the album a bazillion times, makes my heart happy too.

At the end of Life Goes On they were singing where they did their online concert. At the very end during their closing ment, Jimin completely broke down in tears and couldn't stop, saying how frustrated he is and the reason he became so emotional is because he didn't know armys were gonna be on the screen live behind them and because he saw how much fun the members were having. Seeing them being so vulnerable like Jimin in that moment, their live streams talking to us and through this album is something you don't see from any other artist. They bring comfort to so many ppl and that's what makes us appreciate love and protect them as much as we do

This album perfectly summarizes their emotional journey throughout this pandemic. There have been other quarantine songs this year, but this entire album resonates with so many different emotions and perspectives. It's so unique and beautifully crafted

My opinion about when to do a reaction for a new song is this...while we want people to stream the official song, you can't actually stream it back to back, you HAVE to do something in between. I like to go to a new reaction, then go back to the official song, then go to an older official song (boosts that songs views too), then back to the new song, then to a reaction of the new song. So I actually appreciate if someone has reacted to the song early. HOWEVER, it's nice if you post a link to the official song in your description and tell your fans in your intro to go check out the original, that way the original is getting the attention it deserves and boosting it's views.

It's so unfortunate that you aren't as recognized as you are in the community. I love your break-downs and discussions! You are so unapologetically emotional/emotive however you are, and you express yourself and relate to feels of the music in such a uniquely relatable way. Thank you for all of your videos, and I want to let you know how much I appreciate you 💜 You deserve so much happiness, but you have every right to feel sad or angry without guilt. Have a good night, and stay safe!

Thanks so much for this. I'm glad you enjoyed and related so much to this album. It always amazes me how you almost always immediately understand the intention of their songs so correctly. So many reactors only look at the surface but you always listen and relate it to yourself and your life and empathise so much with their messages. I always feel like non-ARMYs that don't know the boys or how they create their music don't really understand that they put a lot of thought into what they do and there is always an intention or certain message they want to present. It makes me happy to see that even people that are not necessarily consuming everything BTS present can and will recognize this if they have an open mind and really pay attention. Thanks for always being open and honest and taking the time to do these videos.

Bill singing along to Dynamite at the end was top tier! I think a sentiment that a lot of ARMY have is that you find BTS when you need them. I found them at a real low point and their songs really helped hype me up. But Agust D had just dropped and The Last made me sob. And that was the entrance to the rabbit hole for me. I don't know at what point you called yourself ARMY but I think you've found the very self loving and emotional BTS when you needed it most. 💜
