As an Australian, hearing Gaga cover Joker is HILARIOUS because that song was used years ago as the intro to Kath & Kim, a beloved comedy series. I remember having this dawning realisation when I listened to it and started to recognise the lyrics.

From my understanding, it’s a companion album piece. So they won’t be featured in the film, but they were inspired by it. Her new individual “Gaga” album will be released in February 2015. I believe the first single will be released sometime this October.

Ok please do Lawrence next? I just went to their Family Business show in New Orleans & it was spectacular. I recommend the song “Family Business” for fun times & “i’m confident that i’m insecure” for the feels (though not the most heart wrenching one on the album).

I love that you had so much good insight to the original songs! Really took me into a deeper understanding of the songs and what she is trying to portray. This album experience truly heightens the experience of watching Joker. Highly recommend listening to it before watching the movie 🫶🏽 Edit: Also! Only Folie A Deux and Happy Mistakes are original songs. You should DEFINITELY watch her Happy Mistakes performance at Jimmy Kimmel Live!
