it makes sense till it doesnt. tbf tho, if puffer was the type to bother and pay attention enough to the lore he would actually understand at least part of the timeline from the video despite how poor the video grasps onto the lore of the franchise. puffer noticed and remembered the 1st fnaf game but didnt notice that in the timeline a dkfferent fnaf actually came before it within the lore.
@heresywithana
@heresywithana Жыл бұрын
@@unboxing_legend7708 the video is poorly put together. While it _does_ explain the lore well to someone who already has a grasp of the FNAF story, it only manages barely. There's no clear timeline on what game connects to what, when this game occurs in the timeline, etc. The guy in the video cuts way to much stuff out, and while it needs to be done in 10 minutes, he does it in a way that leaves the viewer with so many new questions with so little answers and it doesn't help that the guy was so memey about it, it makes the source sound so much more unreliable and makes it sound like he doesn't know what he's talking about.
@heresywithana
@heresywithana Жыл бұрын
@@unboxing_legend7708 also the fact that the guy puts irrelevant information then says "anyways, all you need to know is that..." is the worst when trying to explain something. The viewer is trying to get as much info as possible and then you just say something random like "oh yeah this alligator jumped Bonnie in a Wendy's parking lot" then go back to the topic. it makes the viewer confused and easily lose track of what you're saying.
@unboxing_legend7708

@@heresywithana exactly what im getting at. its why the fnaf fanbase have classed this specfic 10 min fnaf timeline video as something people shouldnt watch to understand the timeline and lore. its only for the people like u said that at least know enough about what is being said in the video and what is going on in the video for it to make any sense to them as they already know how convaluded and illogical the story turns into very quickly within the lore.

Mat pat has an entire complete timeline in about 4 parts to it each explaining it in a more narrative way linking all the games and books together which makes it way more understandable. An hour I would say is minimum about a good amount of time to explain the lore but to know most of the whys that makes it complicated it takes about 3 as it includes evidence that isn't 100% confirmed but has a lot of evidence for. (also they just announced A DLC for security breach and another Help wanted game so the story is still going) I would recommend playing Help wanted to quickly experience the FNAF games.

@@jak_hollowwhile u might be right about that with some of their theories, i wouldn't generalize it, specially when talking about FNAF, where, whether you like it or not, the most recent theories seem to be correct, with the "evil lady" from the upcoming movie possibly proving matpat's theory about william's wife and the story GGY which proved matpat's theory on patient 46 even tho everyone including myself thought it was wrong. Other than that, i agree that when watching his theories i do sometimes roll over my eyes when they get too far fetched, but, if you rewatch the video or watch someone else's reaction to the video you will honestly start to see better why, if and how the theory actually holds up.

It wasn't lore really it was a basic idea of what he wanted but there was no "story" such as characters or anything. Guarantee it was the matpat video that made him understand "holy shit, this can go places" The game was initially made out of hatred and anger from rude reviews of Chipper & Sons so I doubt he cared much about lore until people actually showed love and interest in the game. Edit: FNAF wasn't made out of anger, I got that wrong, the misconception was that back in the day, chipper & sons had a lot of backlash from how it frightened players and kids. Scott lashed out at them online in many forums and took the game down for quite some time, so people including me just assumed FNAF was just made out of anger when it first came out, apparently it wasn't and was unrelated to the lashing out of his previous game.

ud have to go thru years of lore and like 250 characters yes about that many and the books and videos to figure out even the basics of the lore. to put it simply for u. remnant is still a pretty recent thing that was 1st bought up in security breach on the scooper blueprint in the game. as it stands, people are trying not to include it within the lore but the way its going,people are starting to include it as its leaning toward that direction. if it was a question like what fnaf game comes 1st in the timeline, its been largely decided and leant toward sister location being the 1st then fnaf 1 being the 2md or 3rd

1:40 Puffers description is semi-accurate because Scott made the game after getting so many comments on previous work that his characters look like animatronics, so he looked at those comments and basically said to himself, "You know what? They think my games are creepy? No. I can go further." While the lore was probably just written in basic structure format, with no full blown detail whatsoever. Just Golden Freddy and the 5 missing kids posters

it originally played off from the fact that golden freddy was a bug in fnaf 1 and he saw what the community said about plus the lore that began building around golden freddy that he kept it in but didnt no where to take golden freddy so in the next game he created lore and more characters to start the storyline we know is true by scotts confirmation on it of the fnaf 1 and or 2 lore.

Scott Cawthon (fnaf’s creator) made several games as well as a handful of short cgi animated movies. Mostly as a hobby but also he wanted to be able to make a living off it coz he enjoyed it. He made fnaf as his last attempt at getting success and it blew up. The story was based loosely off of a real chain of deaths at first, and when people loved it and wanted more, he made it deeper with each game. He definitely didn’t think the first one needed to be insanely deep and complex, but after that it got crazy

Trying to understand the FNAF lore is like trying to understand Calculus from scratch. There isn't a shot in hell you'd be able to learn it in one ten minute video. Considering that there's 8 main line games (FNAF World is a spin off, which if counted makes nine), trying to make the events of each game and the connections that bring it all together compressed into ten minutes is nigh impossible and leaves a LOT of important matters out of it. Now if every game gets a ten minute video? That's one thing. But potentially giving each game and the strings that bind it all together only a minute on average? That's a disservice, especially since there's ten years of story. Go for the hour long Wendigoo vid that others in the comment section are talking about OR hit up the Game Theory Ultimate Timeline vid. Three differing ways to look at the story. Would that be over an hour long? Yes but Five Nights at Freddys is definitely a story that is preceded by the question "How long do you have?"

*I’d def recommend the 1 hour one. A lot of stuff was skipped* and it’s also a lot to cram into 10 minutes (as you could probably tell from there being hour long ones) so alot of details needed to understand weren’t there, and I also just wanna see ur reaction to the 1 hour long one since ur still prob gonna be confused 😂

The funny thing is, the video completely glossed over Remnant which, if they went into more detail with it, would've explained a lot of the problems Puffer had with the lore; how does William keep coming back? Simple; he caused so many tragedies and his own death was so painful to the point where the Agony created from it fuelled his spirit to keep on living. How does possession work in this series? People dying or showing intense emotions (mostly Agony) can basically infuse their spirit into objects... so say that you were murdered and then hidden inside a robot, your spirit and your Agony would be able to make that robot move in ways it wasn't programmed to. How did William become digital... well, although this one is being thrown into question due to the possible Mimic theory, it's possible that William's Agony infused his spirit into circuit boards that were used to create the VR game. People argue that horror media that tries to explain things through science just end up ruining it half the time but I feel like Fnaf is one of the few series that does it right if you're willing to give it a chance.

I jumped on FNAF when it first came out, this 10 minute video did not do justice. FNAF 3 & 4 was skipped over, Ballora was skipped over, security breach had multiple lore filled sections that were once again, SKIPPED OVER! Matpat's long videos do more justice than this teen trying to explain it. In Security breach there is a room filled with broken staff bots and sticky notes, climbing the stairs leads to a dining room scene of sorts, like a birthday party. With 5 robots, 2 parents and three kids. One looks like circus baby, aftons daughter Elizabeth, one looks like Michael, aftons eldest son. Then the last child was his youngest son, we know that because that robot specifically was missing his head, hinting to the bite of '83. The mother and Father bots are Afton and his wife, his wife is Ballora the ballerina in Sister location, he made that robot specifically for his deceased wife. The reason she never knew about her kids was because she died, from either a decease I believe or she took herself out after her youngest son died. It was something like that. The lore is very, very confusing, but once you sit down and play the games and read the books and lore you learn a lot of stuff. Like how a young women died in the vent system at sister location, or how the blob monster in the basement of security breach is the result of the fire that "destroyed" the robots. They all fused into one big blob of scrap, endo's, heads, etc. Like the bigger version of mangle from FNAF 2. Going into detail on this topic shows how invested you gotta be on the series and its shenanigans. It isn't for everyone, but it surely is for me!

I really recommend watching the hour long video with HyperDroid because he does a pretty good job putting together the lore using the games and the book series But yeah, Scott made the game solely because his other games got criticized for the animal characters being "too realistic" And as far as I know, the movie itself isn't going too in depth with the lore, only using the simple "guy gets night guard job, has to stay five nights"

The four part video series on The Game Theorists is the most comprehensive look into the timeline. Each video is about 20-30 minutes and they are broken into chunks so that you don’t have to watch them all at once.

Yea, what you said at the start is actually true. Scott (the creator of fnaf) tried to do child games but the children found his characters too creepy and that’s why all his games failed. So as a last attempt he created a horror game instead and it suddenly exploded and that’s when he decided to continue the fnaf franchise and actually add lore.

I believe Remnant is actually explained to be an oddly specific steel mixture that was used to build all of the robots. Nobody knew this particular mixture was any different from regular steel until William studied the possessed robots and discovered how unique the metal mixture was. This led him to build more robots out of what he named "Remnant" in order to experiment with it and hopefully discover the secret to eternal life. It's also why his old Bonnie suit, nicknamed Spring Trap, was capable of hosting his soul as well.
@SgtReinhardt
@SgtReinhardt Жыл бұрын
i thought remnant was the melted metal of the possessed robots. Though the powerful emotion of agony, the souls enfuse with the metal and when you melt it down you get remnant which then you can inject into other robots and give them life of sorts. has it changed???
@Underd0g562
@Underd0g562 Жыл бұрын
Remnant isn't metal. It's agony in its pure form. You can't make something out of remnant, you mix it into something or inject it into the metal itself.

Nah, William didnt upload himself into Binary, the coders found some old animatronics and use parts to help code the AI in the game, but one part was from Springtrap/William-Afton. And since the part was from the anamatronic that Williams soul was attached too, when the game coder use the part to help code the game. Williams conscience transfers into the game, using the code from the part, like a trojan horse.

Henry built the first two animatronics/suits (Fredbear/Golden Freddy & Golden Bonnie/Spring Bonnie). William's youngest son got killed by Fredbear/Golden Freddy, thanks to William's oldest son Michael and his friends. Rather than blame Michael and his friends, William blamed Henry because Henry created Fredbear/ Golden Freddy so William killed Henry's daughter. Her soul inhabited the Puppet animatronic and the soul of William's youngest son inhabited Fredbear/Golden Freddy. William noticed the Puppet acting differently and aggressively towards him in particular and put two and two together metaphorically speaking and decided to test his hypothesis (and by test his hypothesis I mean he killed 5 random kids while wearing the Golden Bonnie/Spring Bonnie suit and stuffed them into Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy and Golden Freddy. I can't put it any more simple than that.

As a fan veteran, I recommend Hyperdroid or Sire Squaks. They do a way better job. 10 minutes honestly isn't enough time for fnaf's lore. The hour long videos are much more detailed than 10 minutes will give you. Also! Heads up that every lore explaining video for fnaf are all different when it comes to the timeline, names and existence of characters, multiple perspectives on the timeline but mostly everyone can agree on basic fnaf 101 info: William Afton murdered children for a reason. He's also the worst human on the planet and the animatronics are possessed. Which ones? That differs.
