The disparity between Eric's calm demeanour and his unhinged aggression on the chess board is one of the great paradoxes of our time.
@ChristianHegele Жыл бұрын
@SherlockHolmes82 We all know Eric plays calm, positional chess OTB and when an online game calls for it. It's probably his natural style. But you can't deny some of his most famous content is playing pure barbarian chess ... he's been known to berserk and play Jerome.

All this whole video proved to me is that Eric plays better without thinking than i ever would with hours to contemplate. Also: he unironically plays better when rushed.
@kitapsevgisi79552 жыл бұрын
I would say he plays more creatively than better. Because when he has time he plays more cautiously and doesn't take risks. When there is no time there is nothing to lose. :]
@ArturoSubutex Жыл бұрын
At 26:44 he missed Ng5 though, threatening to take the locked bishop and Black can’t take back with the king bc of the rook discovery, and Black’s rook on f8 is trapped. He could have had an endgame with a rook up rather than a pawn up.

At 16:59 Eric said "I could have been in a lot of trouble there" as he was missing Qf7 mate. At the end of the game he must of read it "did I miss mate in one?" BUT he could have forced mate several times after it missing mate in two several times even as his opponent knew and was trying to get away from the mate in two sacrificing all his pieces for the life of his king. How noble.
