I just discovered you on you tube because I was searching for Romania videos. I am really enjoying watching yours. I have been to Romania 3 times, Bucharest, Transylvania and the coast. All places are awesome and beautiful. The food is better than anywhere else, I love it and I miss it here in the UK. Mici and Sarmale, Papansi are my favourites.

They tried already for sure, these guys live in Romania, they are studying in Romania for years, by now they know all Romanian food, they know the Romanian language and for sure they have Romanian friends who introduced them to all kinds of things, including mici. Already familiar with Romanian food, they only make a presentation here... as they had Romanian food, and of course, may taste different from place to place that's why you see the surprising positive reactions on their faces after each bite...Ingredients may differ from region to region or just a matter of choice and of course, the way is cooked so the chefs play an important role by influencing the taste of a recipe. One other main factor of good food is the natural, unprocessed ingredients. Also, cooked food tastes better on the second day as the ingredients are harmonized...

Mici or mititei are mince meat with salt, pepper, paprika, thyme and garlic shaped like a sausage. They are pretty good. I make them too.

the pork belly from 6:03 is meant to be eaten dipped a bit in salt and then followed by some onion right after you've got the pork piece in your mouth. I prefer long red (violet) onions, I think they're called shallots? dunno but they're bigger than shallots

Hello, boys! I am glad to see you interested in our culture. In the first part, on the first menu, that one in the middle is not a sauce, it is eggplant salad (ripe eggplant, mixed with onion and mayonnaise) and is usually eaten spread on bread and with tomatoes. We don't have a sophisticated kitchen, but it is tasty and authentic. I wish you a pleasant stay and good luck in all you do! 🙏

actually the best shaorma in town is Best Food shaorma uverturii (you have to try the tomato-garlic sauce aswell as the olive sauce)

Smântână is sour cream, mămăligă is polenta, that is a porridge made from maize /corn

Prin Cluj, mai puteți încerca, data viitoare, gomboți cu prune, și babgulyas(gulas cu fasole), care sunt de origine ungureasca, asa cum salata de vinete si sarmalele sunt este de origine orientala, ajunse la noi prin turci.

You guys are funny!! Mamaliga is basically just corn meal mush or polenta and it was served with smantana also known as sour cream. Those were cabbage rolls. Basic cabbage rolls. The appetizer was some Eastern European deli cuts, cardabos, salam and some cheeses and that spread was maybe salata de vinete or eggplant/aubergine salad. C'est ca guys!!! The tuica, the alcoholic drink in the small glass is just brandy. Some basic cheeses there. Interesting teeth on the African guy. Very yellow teeth on bottom and white teeth on top. : ))

Mamaliga is Polenta. Also that piece of meat that you didn't know what it was. It is pork scratching, Romanians like to eat those with alcohol as I'm sure they do in other parts of EU too.

You should know that Romania's border to the east is the Prut River, to the SE it borders the Black Sea and to the south the Danube River. CROSS THE CARPATHIAN MOUNTAINS, don't stop only in Transylvania as most people do, following some outdated tourist guidebooks .
