Another Aussie here, I have thoroughly enjoyed watching this video. I absolutely love that you love our Tim Tams, they are sacred here in Australia, as I love your Pablo cheesecake which are extremely famous in Japan. Don't Stop YouTubing, love you guys.

Aussie here. No. no. no! The Tim Tam Slam has to be with a hot drink so that the center melts, and as you found out, you need to be quick or it will end up in the cup! :) The new flavours may vary for this depending on how well they melt. Those flavours in the current range are pretty good, but they had a peanut butter one a while back and we thought it was pretty disgusting.
@AusExplorer6 жыл бұрын
Doesn't have to be hot, I do it with cold milk in summer all the time.

aussie - have never bothered with the slam, i finish a whole pack in one sitting, double coat is my fave. who has the time to or self control to slam when you can just eat

shinichi is soo sassy... like a diva... the way he talks... they are adorable... ugh!! I'm going to see if I can order the salt camel one, since you said it was the best... and maybe the cherry one... cuz I like cherry flavor...

Timtam slams are for winter. When a quick messy shot of sweet biscuit and hot drink feels good. It's an occasional pick me up trick, not an every day thing. :) Usually eaten at morning tea time, or after being out in the cold.

satochi is adorable. he is so happy when he eats and drinks beer! I want to try everything when I watch him, even vegamite.

Chic mint is a popular ice cream flavour here in Australia. Gelato Messina is on KZbin and they upload videos of unusual things that their creative department make as well as how some of their desserts are made. Coconut lychee Tim tams are Addictive! But the pina colda, espresso martini and strawberry champagne flavours are really good too! To do the slam you need a hot drink because the biscuit is supposed to melt in your mouth with the mouthful of drink. Tim tam slam is basically a gimmick we normally just eat the biscuits on their own.
@secretdiaryofafoodie7 жыл бұрын
Brissy Girl I haven't tried any of the flavours you mentioned, I wonder if they are still around, as they are always bringing out limited edition flavours? I don't like regular Tim Tams so forget to look out for the limited edition flavours which I often do like! Not a huge fan of Gelato Messina either, and if I do a Tim Tam slam it is usually with cold milk - Am I going to be kicked out of the country for this?!? 😂

What an amazing box of TimTams! Thanks to OhChopass Ingrid and Jefri Raja for sending them. Can I just say that I love it when Shinichi and Satoshi get the giggles? :-) It's hard to say which TimTams to try, but maybe the lychee/coconut ones, as they are so unusual. I love lychee, too. Thanks for the video, which brightened my day so much!

Arnott’s make special flavours of Tim Tams from time to time, but the regulars are Original, Dark chocolate, and Double chocolate. The others are limited editions. Yes, Messina is a gelato store in Sydney, and black forest cake is named after the German version of the cake.

I'm so glad you guys (and the rest of the world!) are appreciating our famous Tim Tams. There was only really maybe two or three different types up until a few years ago, and then they started releasing special flavours. I imagine they were probably inspired by Japan's seasonal Kit Kats. An whenever I do a Tim Tam Slam, I find it easier just to bite the ends off rather than the corners. Use coffee or tea as it melts really quickly and because this glorious coffee chocolate gooey piece of heaven.

Watched this video then went right to Target to pick some up. Nice surprise to see Target had mint, caramel, dark chocolate, and original. Not quite the variety in this video, but definitely a nice surprise to find more than just original locally.

I think the Tim Tam slam is more of a novelty way to eat a Tim Tam! But it probably depends on the person. I always think of it as a "slam" because typically when you do it with a hot beverage, you need to be pretty quick at eating it otherwise it melts and falls to pieces! I think it works best with a hot milky coffee or milky black tea :)
@arsenicqueen697 жыл бұрын

When wanting to show lighter or softer palate colors, you should use a dimmer white light. This well to prevent white washing. I know getting all of the settings "just right" can be tough in an apartment sometimes. Love the channel though! Thanks for being yourselves!

the salted caramel vanilla is my favourite. it tastes like golden gaytime icecream. so good. much better than original. I wish you were in Australia to try the golden gaytime icecream too. Messina is a gelato place. pretty good icecream. they always have new flavours weekly. I like tim tam slam (hot) with either tea, coffee, or hot dairy milk. I don't think soy is a good choice.

I might be biased, but great video. Tim Tams is like Kit Kat for Japan. For Aussies it has a range of seasonal and promotional flavours. also Tim Tam slam is possibly something the hipster crowd do, ive never heard of it growing up, its done better hot.

Tim Tam's The Tim tam slam is at least thirty years old concept. Used to be done with hot instant coffee with milk most often, or hot milk/chocolate if you were a kid. Common practice with anyone who likes to dunk biscuits. :) at least, it was like that in Brisbane growing up.

had some tim tam cookies and flavours in my life too, the "negative point" with tim tam slam is, the cookie disappears sooo fast XD that's so sad because they taste great, I really love them but eat it the normal way since they have too much calories for to disappear in 10 seconds in my mouth XD
@angemaidment56405 жыл бұрын
Hey guys! As an Aussie, I don’t bother with the Tim Tam Slam. I like dunking a Tim Tam in a cup of hot tea or coffee. It’s delicious, and there’s less chance of losing your biscuit.
@YEBISU387 жыл бұрын
I wish you did this in one of your live streaming! I personally wanted you to compare the texture of them with "COUNTRY MA'AM." lol
I can't eat my Tim Tam's by itself. I always freeze my packet in the freezer for a couple of hours, then use it as a straw...good old Tim Tam Slam!...this makes it easier to use as a straw. I make it a challenge by having my coffee scalding hot. I'm surprised you didn't get the Mango Tim Tam's. They are scrumptious. Ps. Original has always been my favourite.
