Dave Thomas invented the franchise and "Wendy" was his daughter.

Dave Thomas got his start working for Harlan Sanders, founder of KFC or Kentucky Fried Chicken, before he started his own restaurant franchise "Wendy's". An important point about Wendy's hamburgers, the meat is never frozen, which gives the burgers a unique flavor that you realize when you eat a McDonald's hamburger. They both cook on flat top grill where as both Hardee's and Burger King Flame Broil their meat patties.

Hi from Alberta, Canada. I don't eat fast food too much, but when I do, Wendy's is my go to. I usually get the Dave's single combo or the spicey chicken combo.

You have a great sense of humor and are very personable! Dave was Wendy's father. Wendy's went down hill after the founder, Dave Thomas passed away. Their burgers used to be even better! Look at their logo and you can see "MOM" on Wendy's neck. Just a little trivia!

Wendy's is from my hometown of Columbus! Glad I was able to eat at the first Wendy's location before it closed downtown since its location didn't give it much traffic, but I would definitely say Wendy's is my most frequented fast food restaurant. If you want the temptation of almost exactly the same meal you had for only $6, if you install the Wendy's app you can get a 2 for $6 coupon that seems to never expire that gives you your choice between 2 sandwiches. I appreciate the captioning as well!

I moved to Germany in 1970 (near Wiesbaden). My father worked for the Air Force. The very first day, I walked into the city, and bought a bratwurst with brochen, with some pommes frits. And mayo with the pommes frits (french fries). I loved Germany!

Wiesbaden is about 4 hours away from where I am from. Yes, you get Bratwurst with Brötchen and Pommes Frites (fries) everywhere, but the best you will get in Bavaria.

One thing about Wendy's in my experience is it has to be eaten fresh (either in store or in the car) as their burgers tend to get very soggy quickly.

In my opinion, every food has to be eaten fresh, the exception is a good pizza, this can be eaten cold. But this is just my opinion.

Hello Sir . . . in my medium sized college town Wendy's does by far the best business of all the fast food "burger" places that we have . . . they run circles around even McDonald's . . . .the Buger King Whopper is my go to burger . . . but i still get a Dave's double every now and then for a change of pace . . . i always get the Dave's double and 10 chicken nuggets, which are great with the barbecue sauce . . . . . see you next time !!!!!!!! . . . . . . . If we only had a way to go online to research things. 😅😅 like who opened Wendy's, and why it was named Wendy's. 😅😅 We love Wendy's food. The spicy chicken sandwich is my favorite chicken sandwich. The burgers are all pretty good as well. Their toppings are always fresh.

I cannot say this because this was my first time and therefore, I do not have any comparisons to any previous food of this place. But it was good when I tried it.
