Season normally starts at the beginning of December. When you watch the snow situation now ypu will see that most resorts are already preparing their slopes for a couple of days. Nordic skiing starts at the beginning of November.😉❄️🎿🤙

@@jaspermuilman365 Well last December i went to Trysil for NYE vacation from Dec 27th till 6th of Jan. When we arrived there were masses of snow as well as the days before arriving. We had amzing weather half of the time - sun and blue sky with Aurora Borealis at night and the second half was again masses of fresh snow - powder days. The year before we went to Idre Fjäll in Sweden (its only 50km away from Trysil) and most of the slopes were open too. It was snow enough for skiing and pretty cold (-25 degrees Celsius). So i bet the situation in Norway near the border was pretty much the same. Especially Trysil and Hemsedal are famous for preparing slopes with many snow cannons as normally the big snow in Scandinavia comes a little later in only in February. But i cant remember a year where you couldnt go skiing in the big resorts at the beginning of December. ;)

@@thomaschulze thanks for the useful answer thomas! Do you have tips for preparing for the cold, or is it no different than when going to the Alps?
