Well, years ago, I blew it up and resurrected it. I never trusted it afterwards. But, I was supposed to get another 940 with a bad PS. That deal fell through. That's why I removed it with minimal disassembly.

I'm sure wanting to re-get one of these 940s, but the extra 25 yrs since my last one makes me skeptical. I wonder what is the hardest part to get, hardest difficulty to overcome is these days?

The original PA Drivers are hard to come by and quite expensive. And if anything else on that PA Board is bad, it will probably take out the drivers again. I changed mine over to a more common amplifier by modifying the board. k6iok.com now sells an upgraded Power Amp board.
