Does the Modern English Version capture the full meaning of the original? Where if not could I find the difference? I noticed that Owen , Calvin , Bavivck and Other works are being updated so should we not also come to an agreed upon standard in our current English that would be the equivalent of the old English version?

I'm looking for a recording that goes thru the Second London Confession and says what it says and what it means. All I'm finding are men explaining how much history they know and what's not right about other confessions. Could anyone point me to an explanation of the SLC?

I need someone to verbally explain the 2nd London Baptist Confession. I recently began studying the confession and then had a severe head injury. I have retained my vocabulary but struggle deeply with complex sentence structure. I have been looking for a simple (not easy) explanation. Is there a place online that will walk me through it? Again, I do not need an easy, but simple, straightforward explanation of each chapter. I haven't studied it since seminary in the 1990s, but I crave a refresher. I can handle all the big words, but need a godly teacher who respects the 1689 to just teach it, chapter by chapter. Maybe I already said that. It is funny how I talk or write in circles now. Any help?!?

I'm surprised this wasn't titled "The 1689 Confession for Dummies " And what a shocker that liberal Mark Daver and his Founders-recommended Elgin, Illinois disciple don't embrace the 1689 confession.
