I spoke with Alan Tsao at the Windup Fair for a few minutes. Super nice & approachable guy. Beautiful, quality watches. I told him how much I liked his clean, uncluttered designs and he said that is one of the elements he strives for. I wasn't looking to purchase watches at the show but I'm considering buying one I have seen on his website. Re micro adjusts: 3 is never enough for me. Thanks for the chip, Rob!

Love. Love. Love. This watch. Got one, and it is a stunner-and Alan is a great guy. The precision and quality of this watch, case, dial, movement, imho, worth twice as much as TSAO is charging.

Own the legacy blue dial and absolutely love it. Alan is a great dude. Emailed him about something involving the watch and he responded in less than 3 hours. Like the bracelet cuz it has quick release and mini links make it easy to fit on wrist.

You are giddy about this watch! Fun to see. 1. Love the under-40 size. 2. Love the bracelet. Nicely made and looks comfy. 3. That dial is killer. The color is fine but I like the design more. The layering etc. 4. Yeah, the clasp looks clunky and overbuilt on this smaller watch. 5. Baltimore: American labor is not and should not be cheap. Kudos to them.

I agree with that style of clasp. I bought one once and didn't take me long to realize it's not that great a design. It works if you don't care how it looks and actually use it as an extension over a wetsuit. Otherwise, it has way too much length for microadjustments which most people might use it for. And, as u said, the edges are sharp, and it just doesn't look good when extended as the extension portion is exposed and breaks the continuity from links to clasp. Unless you can integrate a proper claps with tool-free micro adjust loke what CW, Zelos, even some of the newer San Martins that have either a button or slider AND most importantly keep the extended pieces hidden always under the clasp. Just give me a simple traditional microadjust with at least 4 small holes. I usually can find tune the size to wear it will work whether my wrist swells up or not.

So many things I like about this watch. I think more could be done with the dial with indexes and forgo the sandwich dial. Not a deal breaker though, it has a lot of original style in the whole package that I think looks great. And what they are doing with the movement is crazy for the price. That was Breitlings MO for years

I'm with you about the clasp. It's just too clunky for me. I had a similar clasp on my Helson Shark Diver. I reached out to Helson and I was able to purchase a basic pressed clasp from them. The extendable dive clasp has been in a box for years now.

I have that same clasp on my Tuseno Shellback, and it is entirely too bulky. I like the on-the-fly capability with the micro adjust, but the clasp looks terrible when the internal portion is ratcheted out. Internal micro-adjust clasps are becoming the new standard with premium microbrands.

almost perfect, wish the timing bezel was in multiples of five instead. And the name doesn't make me think this was made/ assembled in Maryland. However, it is nice to see production is still happening in America.
