The point is to gather particles from Jupiter’s atmosphere and study them. This can’t actually happen in game, I just made it up. It’s also testing how strong the winds are (also not in the game) and if the heat shield can withhold the heat. There is no one on the ship, because if the heat shield would’ve fallen off, the whole ship would burn.
