Hi and thanks for the continual video updates. As a fellow "Red" Hummer H3 Alpha owner I like to see all of the updates you do to your H3. I am curious about one thing. What is your thought process to continually investing in the H3 vs buying a newer rig. Dont get me wrong. I love mine and it would be hard to part with but from a reliability and economical point of view is it working out for you. Or is it you just love the H3 so much. If so I understand the feeling.

@@austinbrooksmagic That is a really great question. It’s is one we have been asking ourselves lately. At some point we will need to make a change. I guess we had a vision of what our H3 could be years ago and life threw some delays at us. Then the actual build has delayed us. In all we have lost about four years in delays. In that time our needs in a vehicle have changed an at this point the H3 is probably not the most ideal vehicle for us but we have been so invested in this project, we really wanted to see it through. If we would have known there would be so many delays in getting the build together and so many additional costs we would have gone with a newer/different 4x4 and saved a year or more of lost time. We only know what we know when we know it. We have been asking ourselves that very question. We are hoping to get our moneys worth out of it for at least a few years of consistent use and then decide from there.

@@TsarTrail Thanks for the detailed answer. I know the feeling. Every time I need to do a repair, I think should I just get a newer 4x4 but I have so much $$$ in it and know I won't be able to sell it for that so I just keep going. If you and your wonderful family are ever out in Vegas, I would love to hit some trails with you. We have lots of awesome ones and also some great camping spots

@@TsarTrail it was an excellent question, something I was wondering about and all I could say is why? However, new vehicles aren't without issue as well. At almost 50,000 miles on my Gladiator diesel, I love it. However, the 1st 10,000 miles I was cursing Jeep and all things Gladiator related. What I wonder the most about the H3 is the lack of space and how you get beyond that. Not that Jeeps are big on space but with a 3rd person you cannot delete the back seat as I have that luxury to do. Safe travels and glad to see you folks traveling again.

@@jamesmcgarry8660 Yes, the H3 is really lacking in space, all around. The towing capability of the v8 Alpha was a big attraction for us. Plus the look of it and it is very quiet inside. But it certainly has it’s shortcomings. We call that charm I guess. 🤣
