I spent time with the anti-poaching rangers in Tsavo in the 80s. So many wonderful memories, my heart is still there.

Awesome! We visited during the dry season last year, so it will definitely look a lot different to when you visited during the short rains early in the year🐾

Hi. I am planninig visiting tsavo park on december by selft drive rooftop tent rental car do you think it Will be worth it ? Is december a nice Time ? What would he better west or East ? Any recomendations ?

Hi there! December can be a great time to visit Tsavo as it falls within Kenya's short rainfall season (November to December) which will transform all the landscapes to beautiful green sceneries. Most species also give birth during this season and as it falls outside of peak tourist season, there will be fewer crowds. We visited Tsavo during the month of August (as we planned our trip to be in Kenya to witness the great migration of the wildebeest in the Maasai Mara) - hence the dry landscapes in our video. We unfortunately only visited the East of the park!
