थे तो पलक उघाड़ो दीनानाथ, मैं हाजिर-नाजिर कद की खड़ी॥ Open your eyes, lord of the poor (Deenanath), I have been standing and waiting for so long. साजणियां दुसमण होय बैठ्या, सबने लगूं कड़ी। My loved ones have turned enemies, I am hated by everyone. दिन नहिं चैन रैण नहीं निदरा, सूखूं खड़ी खड़ी। There is no rest for me in day, no sleep at night. I am withering just standing. बाण बिरह का लग्या हिये में, भूलुं न एक घड़ी॥ The arrows of separation have pierced my heart, I cannot forget the pain of separation even for a moment. पत्थर की तो अहिल्या तारी बन के बीच पड़ी। Like Ahilya, (the woman-turned-stone-from-curse by her sage husband, who was restored to life by Lord Ram), I am lying on the way. कहा बोझ मीरा में करिये सौ पर एक धड़ी॥ Why to think Meera as a burden, she just weighs a dhadi (small measure of weight).
