I was there in 1999. It took us 10 days to reach Tso Rolpa from Dolakha and our actual plan was to cross over Tashi Laptsa and come via Thame-Namche-Lukla. It is so good to see lodges all the way. We were camping then. It was so beautiful and this beautiful video brings back some many wonderful memories. i would love to go there one day again and fulfill my dream to cross over the pass. Thank you so much Sugat ji for this wonderful video. Cheers

Tsering lama, Dear Sir, it's nice to know that you had been there too around 18 years ago. Yes it is much easier now to reach there than before. Road access to upper tamakoshi project made it possible & yes improved lodging & fooding facilities also available like other famous trail routes. I found this part of the country more beautiful than my expectation before I reached there. Thanks you Tsering Sir for watch it 🙂

Interesting Vedio.What is missing is narration on ethnic groups,their livelihood,any schools,health posts,flora and fauna,vegetation,wild life ,birds along the way and fishes on Tamakosi river.Are some local communities now using micro hydro plants to generate electricity for themselves with plenty of waterfalls?Do they totally depend on firewood?Is it getting scarce around the villages?What are the names of beautiful peaks around Tsho Rolpa lake?Could you see Mt.Gaurishanker from there?Has the lake been shrinking or expanding lately?The colour of lake water looks like there is much siltation from nearby glacier melt.Anyway,Thanks.

Sugat, thanks for your openness.All of you had that beautiful trek.I am a fan of David Attenborough, a wonderful wildlife narrator for BBC.Another Nepali who asked people and kept valuable and meticulous records on such trips was Dr. Harka Gurung.Best wishes to you all.

@SUGATSHAKYA5 жыл бұрын
We visited there two years ago. At that time mobile connection over simigaun is very poor. I don't have any contact no. of hotels and other at there. This route is less crowded than other familer routes. So we can get tea houses easily, & nepalese friendly too.

It lakes 7 to 8 days, total cost around Rs. 10,000/- will be enough for food, rooms & transportation. Yes, April & May is also good time to visit there.
