This story you mentioned, I heard about it when I was setting up a factory in Sheung Shui. The estate agent told me about it, but I don't know the full details. Thank you for providing this information

But, it is not well look after by them, they thrown away the original bricks, and decor, abused the historic building, heart breaking, messed up, the originals, they did such bad work in the name of rebuild, the temple roof was not in the right position, later, some tangs visited and repositioned it. Another thing, all the mixed villagers has their own agenda, in the past celebrations always with a big physical fight... Hope they have a good heart to our temple... as it took over since from the beginning...

The situation you described is common in many villages, just like the case of Wun Yiu Fan Sin Temple, where village head Ma had to put in a lot of effort to deal with the villagers' arrangements for the temple. And as you mentioned, the location of Lung Tam Kun Yam Temple is indeed quite remote, requiring a 30-minute drive from Sheung Shui. As you said, we can only look forward and hope that this ancient temple can be better preserved & managed in the future. Many villages face similar challenges with maintaining historical buildings & dealing with conflicting interests among the residents
