If we are to take esports seriously, then all this "don't contest us at our poi and let us gear up without any pressure" needs to stop cause it isn't something we'd ever see in regular sports. So why is it ok here? In scrims, they have a gentleman's agreement. That's it. The best place to try the best would be scrims. Get your reps in vs the best. Maybe you'll push them to another drop. Maybe those reps help you vs them at LAN. Or maybe you'll realize challenging the best is a bad decision and that you're out of your league. But none of that happens without challenging the best in scrims. That being said, it's up to whoever hosts scrims to make the gentleman's agreement style a solid rule and if it's not then all this crying is just that, crying.
