Why don't they say the reason why Bottlegate even happened? It wasn't because the play was reviewed and ruled incomplete, it was because the Browns ran another play after that. NFL rules and regulations state that a play CANNOT be challenged after another play has been ran.

The challenge was called in from the head office before the play was run. So your point is moot. Your misunderstanding of the rules stands as the reason the game was called, as the game was unsafe to play.
@skarsgaarddilapidatedboat55907 жыл бұрын
Mostlyharmless1985 your misunderstanding of everything makes me think you are a nfl online shill. the reason the bottles were being thrown was because the refs fucked up big. had they made the proper call to begin with everything wouldve been fine. the refs broke the rules and you know it.

Doesn't matter if the challenge was called before the play was run by the head office, the game has to be stopped before the next play.

What many people don't remember, unfortunately, at 3:27, is that Ernest Byner worked his ass off in this game!!! The loss was the failure of Marty Shottenhiemer as a head coach. He'd take his best playmakers and work them to death in a game. He failed to take Cleveland to the SB because of that, and he failed to take San Diego to the SB because of that . He worked the shit out of Ladanian Tomlinson in San Diego; and he did the same with Byner in Cleveland.

@Jay848 жыл бұрын
It's not so Manziel, once again, the media screw a lot of this crap up...mainly...you find a QB out of the 3 decent that we have, Manziel. McCown, or Davis. I mean, I would pick Manziel as a starter, he has so much potential yet no one respects him for what he's done for the team. McCown did well, he's just injury prone. Davis? He's alright, but he's a franchise backup, not starter.
@tybraker278 жыл бұрын
+| The Jay Effect | I don't follow the Browns, so i don't know who Davis and McCown are.
@krem1able8 жыл бұрын
the problem is that Manziel doesn't have a major role model at qb to teach him, he is a good qb but really was thrown into a mess. If you take aaron Rodgers for example, he didn't get put as the #1 qb on the team in his first year he sat back learned from Favre and when it was his time he was the starter.
@jedcauffield18588 жыл бұрын
+krem1able How often does something like that happen really? Cleveland's been trying to get a winning QB since Kosar. Hoyer was a Cleveland native and Browns should of played Manziel early last year (2014-2015) to get his feet wet instead of having this big fan hype breathing down Hoyer's back. Instead they played him later when the team was overcoming injuries. We actually beat Pittsburgh that year too, and almost in that first game after a sour start. A good QB doesn't look for a role model, they become one on their own. Favre was fighting to stay in the NFL as well with the Vikings and Jets, so I think Aaron had to wrestle that QB role from him
