Tij Iginla went from a team that, at the time, didn't really need him (Seattle) to a team where he had to assume a more impactful role (Kelowna) and thrived. To me, it seems like he's a player that gets better when he plays in the moment, and that's contributed to his draft stock going up.

@malakaspawt31903 ай бұрын
The Mighty Ducks logo and colors from the 90s were better. Utah's logo and name is an utter disgrace. They've got the Grizzlies in the ECHL. They probably didn't want to go with the Yetis because of their colors. It would feel weird but I still think it's a cool name. Whatever they choose better be good, because I think it's unforgivable to begin with a logo that ugly and being called Utah HC.

Also, I love how Stian Solborg has risen in the draft because of how vicious he is. He's a hard hitter who knows how to hit clean, and likes to get under people's skin. He relishes in hatred. I really wish he wasn't in this Draft and was in the next draft since he'll be playing in a much tougher league next season, so its easier to find his weaknesses and better evaluate his strengths. The reason I'd be afraid to take him at 10-20 is that he spent the season with Vålerenga in the Norwegian league (EliteHockey Ligaen), which (no disrespect) is much lower competition than where most of these prospects played in. Fellow Norwegian, Michael Brandsegg-Nygård, spent his season in the Allsvenskan (Sweden's 2nd tier) with Mora IK, a tougher league than in Norway.

Can't you appreciate the joke ? You gave me a perfect segway there. I actually like Catton. Still think your comparison is kinda silly, considering production all across in the W vs the O which had much better defense overall (and slightly better goaltending) + these 2 are utterly different players, but i really like Berkley, i think he'll be truly good down the line. As many his age he mostly needs to add some more muscle mass to his frame and then learn to withstand hits (or improve upon his ability to evade them) a good deal more, against tougher defenses, which I'm sure he'll do. Hope he'll get drafted by an org that has the patience and development coachs to help him out properly, would hate to see his talent wasted due to a lack of support and his dev thus taking longer than it should.

Celebrini remains the best decision to make for the Sharks. Every team would pick Celebrini right away if he was available. It's the same thing as in 1993, every team would have picked Daigle if he had been available. Daigle's high end ceiling was projected as a Guy Lafleur and his low end ceiling as a Pierre Turgeon. Celebrini's high end ceiling is projected as a Crosby and low end as a Jonathan Toews. The difference here is that Daigle's floor ended up being a Galchenyuk.
