SAYAN Noob Chaura-Chaura was a watershed moment in India history in 1922. Khilafat-Non Cooperation movement was in progress at that time in India, the movement was headed by MK Gandhi and other Congress leaders, the whole idea of the movement was of Not Cooperating with British and having a peaceful resistance. In Chaura-Chauri an incident broke out between locals and policemen, the incident turned violent and the locals burned down the police station along with all the personnel inside. MK Gandhi called off the Non-Cooperation movement immediately saying that the moment has gone violent now and has lost it's real peaceful identity. The incident of calling off the movement was very big as if the moment had progressed further, the later parts of Indian Independence movement could have been very different.....
