I love yu yu hakusho, the anime is really good and don’t worry, it’ll become more linear after a first volume or so. Anime was a good adaption and dub it great too Isekai manhwa is a very popular genre right now. Half of them start off as either kids or adults so it depends. A good one is how Raeliana ended up at the dukes mansion. Would really recommend that one

i've read a bit more of yu yu and i'm liking it more (apart from some of the outdated humor that persists), gives a very nostalgic feeling and it is fun to see a lot of ideas togashi definitely expanded on in hxh,, and thank you for the recommendation! like i said i literally know nothing about isekai lol

I agree about honey lemon - I do love the art and the small doodles, so I’m hoping the next volume gives us more personality and growth!

the first volume was enough to turn me off from the series completely but i do hope it gets better!! i know it is pretty long/ongoing in japanese so it must be doing something right

I am interested in/love a lot of these!! My Gently Raised Beast has a lot of fantasy but the characters are to die for later on, it’s one of my favorite Webtoons. They don’t stay kids for too long. I actually picked up a few of these last month so I will get around to reading them, thanks for the inspiration! 💖

Definitely going to check out Oshi No Ko since I keep hearing about it, and the cover of The Boxer is drawing me in as well. Haven’t read a manhwa in a super long time.

i'm glad you liked in the clear moonlit dusk! i really like that series, my vol 2 comes in tomorrow! i've been a bit hesitant about starting oshi no ko (because i wasn't sure if i would like it) but your recommendation and the fact that i'm enjoying kaguya-sama has made me decide to start it!
@tsukkinotes Жыл бұрын
just picked up volume 2!! really liked the dynamic of the couple in volume 1! and even though oshi no ko was very wacky i was definitely intrigued, you won't be bored reading it that's for sure

definitely going to be looking into the remarried empress. still have to read my villains are destined to die copy XD and i feel i've been surrounded by oshi no ko recommendations for so long now since the jp release and i'm still like it sounds so weird...but i'm easily convinced so i may check it out 😂 ahh yess something's wrong with us! it's honestly like watching a soap opera with the amount of drama, troublesome characters, etc. i'm still enjoying it so hope you do too~ yakuza fiance was such an interesting surprise. caught me off guard and like you said...the intrigue XD i've only watched the anime for YYH long ago and wasn't about to collect it, but i remember enjoying it. has some great arcs!

oshi no ko definitely came out of nowhere for me haha i would say just go for it as blindly as possible,, and i'm particularly excited about continuing something's wrong with us especially since so many seem to love it, i want to know what all the buzz is about

Idk if I would read any of these series but enjoyed your thoughts on them nontheless. Every time you do these I get a great feel of the specific types of writing conventions/tropes that you like or dislike haha. Pretty similar to mine tbh😏except for maybe I think I'm much more sensitive to large amounts of plot armour. Great video, very detailed thoughts that help ppl get a good grasp on what these series are about!

Ahhhhhh been looking forward to this video, honestly love the way you speak about series it just makes me want to pick them up! I'll definitely be picking up Oshi No ko cos of your reactions! I also have Clear moonlit dusk and Yakuza Fiance so excited to read those now. I also read Kowloon generic romance online to see if it was good before all the hype and I thought it was okay...but then all the hype made me pick it up physically to see if i missed something?? so maybe it wasn't just me who found it meh lol!

Looking forward to getting though some of these! Specifically The Clear Moonlit Dusk, been trying to read more shojo excited to give it a read! Saving Kowloon till it's further ahead since I personally really enjoyed After The Rain, been hearing a lot of mixed stuff about it but still gana give it a try, similar feeling with Shy. Also, always love the Nakamura praise. Like you said sometimes the topics aren't really great, but it seems more like she want's to explore different types relationships as an interest rather than turn those into fantasies for the reader which really cross over into being problematic.
@tsukkinotes Жыл бұрын
totally agree! nakamura's works are so interesting and people are always surprised that i like her stuff since i am the biggest ... hater of typically "problematic" subject material but it's just something about her style that i can't explain

@@tsukkinotes when I say realistic, I don’t mean like exactly how it might be in irl but it’s not so off to how it might be. Hope that make sense.

i like sci-fi and was extremely pleasantly surprised by kowloon as i didn't know anything about it when i picked it up on a whim. i guess it just depends on your tastes, it's really well written but if you aren't a fan of that style of atmospheric writing and/or sci-fi i can see how it's not everyone's cup of tea. im looking forward to trying In The Clear Moonlit Dusk, Something's Wrong With Us, and Villains Are Destined to Die. Also I agree with you about Shy. I started reading it online and while there were some aspects i like, it is really way too similar to My Hero Academia but without enough plot to really hold it together. It's not bad but yeah i've seen the same thing done better plenty of times before, which is a shame cause the character design is really cute.
@tsukkinotes Жыл бұрын
I can definitely see the appeal of kowloon and i'm sad it ended up not being for me but hope you continue to enjoy the series! and glad i'm not the only one with those feelings about shy lol i was worried i was being too harsh but ya ... just fell very flat for me from the first volume

The art is so gorgeous,,, I love isekai and transmigration stories, so I'll try any of them at least once, haha. I got the second volume recently and I'm excited to read it! I've wanted to try Remarried Empress for a while. Thank you for the recommendation! Oshi no Ko!!! I've ordered the first volume already. I can't wait. I love idol stories and heard good things, so I figured I'd try it. 👀 Moonlit Dusk is so good,, I love the two leads and their interactions!! I can't wait for the fourth volume.

hiii! not sure if you have watched this yet but i wanted to recommend a sports anime to you. is called Burning Kabaddi. A basic summary is there is this kid, who was an amazing soccer player, who was on the news, the paper, everywhere. extremely popular, for the right reasons. He began having resentment to sports and then later quit soccer and moved on the streaming. One day hes introduced to this club and this new game; Kabaddi. This story goes on, introducing new characters, and showing how the main character is getting his love back for sports. IM SORRY FOR THE POOR SUMMARY T-T. im not that good at explaining shows to people but i really want you to watch or read this whenever you have the time because i think you might enjoy it. if you do watch it, PLS let me know your thoughts!
