It was such a wasted opportunity that we never got a past filler arc about the Sannin as Genin, similar to Kakashi Gaiden. Seeing Young Tsunade & Jiraiya bicker at each other would of been fun, and seeing how they got a long with Orochimaru before he was evil. I wanted to see them learning how to function as a team.
