Hello...were did you come up with 117=178?...unfortunately i have the bnsf locomotives and apparently this is disabled on them. What was cv set at before i changed it to 178 stock from athearn? I don't have a program track so i cannot read cvs. Thanks. Ps its emd sd70ace 8401

Great video, only issue is with my model of 1943, when I input a value into 117 I try to release the brakes but it won’t release and won’t move. When 117 has no value it automatically releases the brake then moves. Is there a CV that I can change so I can manually release the brakes when 117 has a value?

Factory-Installed TSU2 in Athearn has CV 1.403 enabled, which sets the brake sounds automatically when its stopped. (since it’s stopped, you do not hear a squeal). This was done so when you start moving, the sounds of the air release of the brakes could be heard. So setting the braking rate as a non-zero value, then the brakes do not release till the loco moves.. but the loco will not move till the brakes are released. Opened in Chrome and Explorer does not work. I can go back and watch all the old videos and play fine. Just trouble with the last two. I cannot be only one having trouble. Tried playing though three different connections so it has something to do do with my media player that you tube is using and this comes with the computer running windows 7. .

Running Window 7 pro no sound. I get sound when going though Chrome on S8 phone. The program you are using to make video does not have the code in it for windows 7 pro.

Do these braking functions disable manually notching all together?

The braking functions only operate the brakes and motor speed in relation to brake settings. They would have no effect on the manual notching. The auto notching would know it was braking, so the RPMs may drop, but full manual, it should not.

@@SoundtraxxDCC I got one that somehow went back to auto notching after I set up the braking functions, and it seems like it enabled DDE as well.

All new SoundTraxx functions are ESU fakes, also the similar name of the functions. SoundTraxx is near the end.

ESU are crap, you can't program them anywhere near as good as tsunamis
