I remember when I was young, Beyblade became massively popular in America. In my neighborhood I ended up becoming one of the top players because of the beyblade I chose was just super good. I had a Wolborg 2 (not sure if thats the same name in japanese), didn't know how good it was, I just chose it because it had a cool wolf on it and the design looked cool. I'll never forget those memories.

I had a Seaborg 2, Griffolyon, and one of the orange light-up ones. I’m hoping to grab a few of the new ones, so I can have a selection from every generation.

My local beyblade scene was overtaken with large metal disc mods that broke everyone's beyblades

Never seen mods but the first version as made with metal I think, or at least metal parts. Which could legit cut of fingers of kids if you werent carfull. @@davidy22

Oh yeah, those large metal disc mods and the ghetto chinese beyblades. That was dangerous. My friend in elementary school had a bey that was just a top and bottom, but could fit like 6 attack rings on it. We fit 6 of those metal saw blade attack rings on them and ended up with this like 5 pound bey. Shot it, the whole thing shot out like a shrapnel grenade. Super exciting, but scary

These new Beyblades actually seem pretty crazy. The stage is really well designed to encourage something more to happen then waiting for them to spin out.

But also you can tell it's still the cheapest and thinest plastic you can make, just pressure formed out of like a takeout container.

I wish they kept more of the customization aspect of the OG beyblade series, I loved how you could completely alter how the bey performed by just giving it a lighter or heaver weight ring, o one that poked out under the attack ring to create new contact points.
Honestly this is pretty impressive. I always assumed that the attributes were just flavor or visual, but these actually live up to them. Blue was hella aggressive.

Ever since the Metal Generation, Beyblade got really technical. It's honestly impressive how they managed to use intricate Physics to diversify the game.

Wow that takes me back to my elementary days, when we had our lunch break at school we always play beyblade but since we have no arena we always play on the floor. Thanks Watame-chan for the throwback 😊😊 Greetings from the Philippines 🇵🇭

I look forward to the Beyblade takeover. One day, there will be a company-wide tournament. It will be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. In all seriousness though, I did not regret staying up till 2 AM to watch a couple VTubers play Beyblade for the first time. Beyblade X is extremely satisfying to watch due to how explosive the impact is, so I had a blast watching this. Would love to see an eventual return with more/newer blades. Heck, there's already a balance type lion blade out there. The perfect partner for Botan's revenge.

I remember growing up as a kid in Mexico where Beyblade was all the rage and every kid was dueling each other. Granted, we just spun our Beyblades on the ground, because none of us had any of these cool arenas to play with. It's cool to know that they're still making them and designing them to be more interesting. Thanks Watame and Botan! Your matches were really fun to watch! I also remember watching the Beyblade anime as a kid. It was fun!

I remember beyblade being a huge thing for some time growing up in Sweden, too. I never really saw an arena either, probably because we mostly did it on lunch break and bringing an arena to school would be a real hassle. Instead, our solution was to take the ripcords, hold it all the way down by the ground, then drag our beyblades by the spinning tip into eachother. Works better than you'd think. Especially during winter, when we'd often sweep up an ice sheet on the school grounds and crowd around it for a big free-for-all. I'm surprised I can't find vids of anyone doing it this way, really.
