Ride 2 isn't exactly ugly though, and from the cockpit you'll only ever be looking at the next corner anyway. I do love how they made the 2t bikes sound. Some of the 4 strokes may fall flat but the stink wheels sound great.

I can’t wait for ride 3.... i have hammered ride2 and I absolutely love it still, I played the TT game and was very disappointed with it.. for me the devs had got the whole feel of a bike completely wrong. From accelerating, braking and cornering is off and feels like a ps2 game. I was really looking forward to TT game but i stuck with ride2 as its a much much better game even though the visuals aren’t the best. Ride2 for me.!! Keep up the good work and great vids robo46 👍🏼

I have both ride on the edge and ride 2, I notice on ride 2 the NW200 track is incomplete where as the TT course is spot on. Both good games and I'd challenge anyone online at the TT game or the NW200 circuit on ride 2 lol Each to their own eh, There won't be a game that will match the real life experience so enjoy learning the tracks and doing it without injury 👍 great channel. Tourist trophy was bad for me.. The physics of the bikes were less real than ride and ttiom... The acceleration was so slow I remember and it annoyed me. I played the shit out of it but once I got over the excitement of a good bike game finally coming out it seemed to suck really bad after a while and I was begging for them to try again

The sport bikes had a zero to 60 of about 5 seconds because the tires would spin like a car and with traction control on it was just sluggish acceleration. Ride has the most real feel to riding a motorcycle than any motorcycle game I have ever played and many agree. Have you ever rode a motorcycle? Because you would know that TT did bikes hardly any justice. It was good for its time but even in 2005 I wanted something a little better and when ride came out it I said this is it! Lol

TT wasn't bad, it's just that i wish they updated some things about it with a sequal.. To me ride was that correction. Now in defence of TT, Ride also pisses me off as well. The handling of the bikes needs to be adjusted in my opinion. The AI while behind you can pull off impossible passes that you just cant do

I've been playing a lot of MXGP3 lately and I gotta say I love what Milestone did with the Unreal engine. I have very high hopes for Ride 3. One thing I wish Milestone would take a leap of faith on is full on livery customization like Forza, or at least a livery editor with several parameters for more unique bikes and helmets and an extremely minor nitpick: double digit zero numbers (like Dovi's 04) and more number fonts for race bikes rather than the default milestone one

Isle of man hands down. The feel you feel when you are not in control going 175 mph down literally riding on the fucking edge of disaster and victory. Competing to the world for the fastest lap time known to man and wind hitting helmet going 189 mph controlling turns. Nothing like it. It is made for helmet cam. No other way to play that game. I'm on 19 min. Flat right now. Going for 17 min. Insane.

Great vid Robo. TT great for a quick blast, wouldn't bother with career mode.I have found that TT game in the 3rd person view works better in Dynamic mode with the Anticipated setting. Helps me stop the rear coming round as much.

Thanks for a useful comparison video.I can agree and disagree with your conclusion Robo but for me the real TT course, superior graphics, better animations and controller feel make TT IOM Ride on the Edge the better game. I find Ride 2 a bit lightweight and arcadey and struggle with the poor first person controller input which causes me lots of riding twitchiness. Like you say TT IOM ROTE needs more tracks and more customisation but with those sorted and more dlc then IMHO it would win hands down.

Every dlc for ride 2 PS4 are free. I’m back to playing ride 2 now so much fun on the rs 250s on donnington. So much more to do on ride and feels way better to play. After buying tt I would say it’s not worth it, keep your money. Plus ride 2 is half the price

ride 2 gets too easy no matter the settings. tt is really difficult and an all out road racing game. bikes actually do sound very accurate to the real road racing machinery. love both games but Isle of Man all the way... good review.

The physics model and control is more realistic in Ride, the IoM game got their track model spot on, but there are issues with things like sprockets not even being attached to the bike xD The IoM game has crashes that make no sense for bikes, it feels like its been made in a car game physics engine XD

Excellent review, been following ROBO46 for a while now and value his opinion as far as motorcycle games go and I also have a fair few hrs invested in Ride2. Other than "bells & whistles" graphics & a stunning reproduction of the TT course it's got nothing on Ride2. Like many others I'm pretty dissapointed with the TT game, I don't understand why anyone would make or release a game that's not a least better than the last "best" bike game, as it stands I'll wait till it's on sale or gets "Milestone" physics = wishfull thinking :)

I think if the tt had some updates and brought more things out and improved things it could be a lot better game like if added more tracks bikes and different modes in a dlc and maybe if they added the ability to do more tuning to your bikes and changed the colder of them put your own sponsors on .... the tt is a good game I love it and always will but it does need some changers and new things or people will just get board and I forget about the game after time

Robo, you are much nicer than I am. To give TT the gentle thumbs down as you did speaks to what classy gentleman you are. I just bought TT and have owned it for a whole 10mins now. I really feel that ive been ripped off. For the price of $71, and the name Isle of Man, I cant believe they would put trash like this out. I have been playing Ride 2 since it came out, and Ride 1 before that. Its the best moto game by far. I liked Moto GP17, and appreciated what they were going for. But as a moto rider and loyal fan of the real Isle and its amazing history, I cant believe how terrible the bikes drive, handle, sound, accelerate, and look. I own a Ninja ZX10r, and it most certainly does not studder to climb to over 10,000 RPM's as in the game, nor does it take me to fight the rpm's up to 13,000 in 3 gears to only be traveling 130mph. I cant believe a simulation game got it so wrong. Not to mention how could they have left so much on table in career mode, with all the amazing history associated with that race. The Isle is the most amazing race on the planet, i guess its fitting that the Isle video game, is the worse game on the planet to keep balance in the world. I would rather play Charades with my mother-in law than play one more race of this hideous bullshit. I feel like the creator/developer just hid in behind the powerhouse name, and lured me in..... Then once i got close hit me over the head took my wallet, then through this trash game on my chest as i layed there, while they laughed all the way to there bank to deposit my money. Milestone is probably having a party as we speak. They know that when Ride 3 comes out..... they are gonna blow the competion out of the water!

I play ride 2 all the time. It's a much more complete game in terms of what it offers. Not perfect by a long shot, but it's a ton more fun and involving, at least the bike physics feel good. The bikes in IOMTT feel wooden, like one of the MotoGP games from like 2006

IOM is great but only for the one track. I play it basically on time trial trying to beat my own times. They should have had vintage bikes in there though to allow people to learn the track at slower speeds. Also the slow cornering is shit. Ride 2 is fantastic. Doesn’t look as great and it’s a bit more arcade but it’s a lot of fun. Can’t waot for ride 3. I’ve preordered it and will buy the season pass for sure.

TT is an arcade game with weird physics and slightly better graphics because it was developed on and for more powerful hardware. Almost 80$ for a deluxe what should have been included in the poor base game is unbelievable. Glad I only paid 3$ to rent it for a weekend.

It's an unfair comparison, to be honest. TTIOM has very few tracks to explore and bikes to ride, which is...reasonable considering the game is designed to emulate the original IOM championship. On the other hand, Ride 2 offers far more disciplines, bikes and tracks, which makes it a much more complete package. It also wins in physics and customization. In short, TT is just a bare-bones recreation of the IOM race, while R2 is a full-blown riding simcade with tons of content. Two completely different things.

visually have too agree TT looks great, gameplay ride 2 although its supposed to be a simcade somehow feel more like a sim than TT so ride 2 wins that TT it just not like riding a bike,sounds on both games suck but TT has a sound glitch where the bike sound like a hairdryer so ride 2 wins this in my opinion,custimization ride 2 wins no contest,content ride 2 wins no contest,Ride 2 multiplayer has some serious issues for me 1 is the arcadey style of timers before you choose a bike for multiplayer and a timer when you finish a race it comes up with 30 seconds for all others in the race to finish,also multiplay had a lag issue with a jittering during the race made multiplay horrible.

As a true blue biker, the TT graphics look amazing. Ride 2 has good bike graphics but the environment looks so plain and dull. I have played TT but not Ride 2. The only thing good about TT is the graphics. The bike don't feel at all like real bikes. Game with best realistic handling of bikes is still Motogp, in my humble opinion.

I really looked forward to tt i own both games and tt is a joke. Heres my issue.... On any s curve you cann be 100% off throttle then lean into next turn and go into a unrealistic slide. The games physics are not like riding a motorcycle. I track my 16 r1 in real life and knee down is easy and my bike has never reacted like tt bikes do. Ride 2 is way more on point and even makee it possible to trail brake to get the front turned in just right when entering a corner hot.

There is a little flaw on Ride 2. Is that in ride 2, cornering speed physics are faster than real life a little bit, but straight line acceleration on bikes is a little slower than in real life. I mean, c'mon, you can't hit 380 km/h+ with ninja H2R stock...
