I think this scandal could be the end of the current government. This is very bad. The only way I think this might not be as bad is if the PM revoke the appointment of the MONS and that in itself will be a big blow for the PNM.

i dont know much about politics. but my big question is how can USA dictate who other countries have diplomatic relations with? they put sanctions on countries they dont like or dont agree with (not necessarily bad guys) and then tell everyone else they cant trade with them because they have sanctions. ridiculous lol

You should look back at the press conference. It was closed and people may be allowed entry on a per person basis. That's how the Barbados people got to come in. They even made it clear the next day and encouraged stranded nationals to apply for entry. During the PM briefings, he would always say his actions are guided by professionals but are the professionals there with him? No. He takes advice and makes the decision himself like he always says. I agree that a medical professional should have been there however to say he's anti science because of such a reach my dude. You all have to remember that there is a God above and he is watching, there are tens of thousands of Venezuelans in Trinidad and Tobago who are not working and there must be some kind of discussion. The US cannot bully a country for have a short meeting with your closest neighbor at the start of a pandemic. We know that the United States didn't take the pandemic seriously that's why it is spreading like wildfire there, if the US don't care about their own people then I guess they don't care about anyone.
