They gotta go FIFA 17 and PES 21. One as an arcade Tiki Taka masterpiece. The other with the best player spacing and buildup. No player felt or played the same. This looks generic.

Your review pretty much sums up the majority of what's been said on the discord forums too. Ive been part of the community for over 2 years, closed testing and feedback sessions with the Devs. It started off promising but people feel letdown by this latest open beta and the rumoured 12th sept full launch date which people feel is too soon.

@@TheTrueBritsAs a marketing guy, they need to say, “We want YOU. Help us create the best football game by Sept 2025.” Take the ‘be part of our team’ route. They need people to play it as a casual break from FIFA throughout the year, not as a replacement. That’s a losing battle. Developers tend to hear ‘EA is a scam’ and see opportunity, but don’t realize how hard a relatively simple mechanic like passing is to calculate. EA and Konami have refined it for decades.

4:07 That's it, they've been talking about how much they were happy about their quite manual defensive system, so I don't understand how they can propose that horrible offensif passing system which is assisted as hell. Because of that, there is no balance between attack and defense, and they are greatly lowering the skillcap, I can't understand how they though it would be a good idea. And to compensate that unbalance I think they'll make the defense more assisted instead of making the attack more manual. I don't want them to propose several assistance level like in Efootball or in Fifa, I think they should propose only one passing assistance which should be fully manual or near that. Or if they want to please everyone, 2 ranked modes: a fully assisted one, and a fully manual other one. What is saddening is that I've been looking at players feedback, many of them address the passing accuracy problem, but no one feels bothered by the level of assistance, that's insane! If the gameplay stays as it is, I wont play that game.

I agree with you that the first beta was much better than this last one, they just needed to reduce the effectiveness of the finesse shots which they did, but somehow they broke passing and made everything related to attacking very automated. The other thing I noticed is the finishing/goalkeepers, sometimes there are shots/chances where goalkeepers have no right to save realistically, but somehow they save them, one-on-ones are harder than scoring from outside the box, which should not be the case. I am unsure if you heard, but Strikerz announced the release date as September 12th, with early access on September 5th if you BUY some packs. Hopefully, they fix the issues you mentioned before then, otherwise, I am afraid there won't be enough players giving the game a chance with that release date (new EA FC will be released on the same month). Lastly, We should have a rematch in the official version after all the issues are fixed

We really need 2K to stuff it to EA. They are the reason EA stopped making Basketball games. The NBA refused to give EA exclusive rights. That’s what needs to happen with football games. That’s how EA has stayed on top.

The BAD in football games is the handicap online. For example the one opponent hits the post or miss an easy goal and the other opponent scores SO EASILY every time. To be fast is not so bad, is FUN. Its a game, it must be fun.

Best two things about UFLs second beta was goalkeepers and defending passing was a shambles and animations for getting your shot away seemed to long and delayed but would score it a 6/10 due to it been a first time for this company building a football game im hoping over the long run we can see a more pes feel sim wise to this game over a fifa 6-7 8-6 scoreline crap you get with ea fc garbage but enjoyed the elements of the game like earning RP to get stronger players and getting the packs for upgrades with the skins

The only way I found to take the attacker's ball was with the keeper out ot the box. The passing is horrible, the crossing is inexistent, you cannot shoot with the full power, the keepers have superglue on the gloves. The game needs to improve a lot for me on the gameplay. 4,9 for me it went down on this 2nd beta.

I have to say I love the skins feature , I'm looking for a game that will draw me away from annoying game that is fifa. Ufl was mostly positive for me apart from the terrible passing at times which was very inconsistent ,GK way too op , and I can confirm I had 1 time where there was veryyy clear scripting for my opposition goal I tackle about 6 times and instantly miscontrol the ball which he progressed up the pitch each time to THEN ultimately score😂😂

Colors look like a cartoon movie. The tons look like a cartoon movie. The look doesn’t represent even 10% of a realistic image. You can never be mistaken if this is a video game or a real match (unlike NBA or racing game like GT7 or even F1). I feel that Football games are stuck around years 2014- 2016.

The responsiveness that you shouldn't mix is when you shoot or pass a ball and the player still carries on dribbling is the issue with Efootball!! When the power gauge is engaged, the player should not be dribbling with the ball!!!!

I honestly think the football gaming community is lowkey filled with spoiled brats. Are we seriously saying a game like efootball is a finished game? I mean we can’t even adjust how long we play a match, we don’t even have all the clubs kits and logos nor do we have all the stadiums not the mention the scripting is unbearable and the UI and graphics is subpar. So for UFL to release the game sooner than later is a reasonable tactic to better improve and better the game accordingly with the active feedback of the users who prefer playing the game. So I’m presuming they will take the method efootball does by releasing updates probably on a monthly basis making users get used to in game mechanics and the general innovative style of the game. And just considering that this is the first of its releases, the potential it has 5/10 yrs down the line is truly impressive. We gotta stop using our failed expectations and in built frustrations from EA and efootball to analysis and engage with other football games. Gotta approach with an open mind.
