Honestly, I actually love the startup even tho it is having problems. I rode the same exact unit several months ago, and there were no problems with it thankfully.

Trimet (Portland) had gotten some Nova Bus LFS Arctics for FX (BRT line) and the bolts for the steering were either lose or missing. That a recall. Maybe we would’ve gotten some 60ft Xcelsiors if Trimet’s relationship with New Flyer wasn’t bad. And it looks like we are going to have to buy from them if we want more 60ft buses

They could have easily gone to gillig as well for some arctic busses

@@AznIntegra521 Gillig doesn't make articulated buses, if they did we would've bought them since almost all the fleet is Gillig except for the D40LFRs (getting retired soon), Xcelsiors and that one D60LF we have

It’s probably something with the electrical system, which makes the bus think it’s turned off but it’s not. Which means every time he turns it on it thinks he is turning it off right after

When the driver open the door, the bus shuts off automatically, when driver close the door and apply acceleration the bus starts

Honestly, I’ve never had a problem when nova buses breakdown for me. They just run without any problems.

Yeah like the garbage Orion III’s, VI’s, and S50 VII’s were any good. Novas are solid and well built and have many clever features including the single piece windshield, all glass doors, rooftop cooling system, all-wheel disk brakes, removable side skirts, etc.

These Nova Buses are the worst at starting up, they take long to startup. No wonder these buses break down a lot.

New Flyer is better than 60 ft Nova Bus

@@crescent54studios agreed mississauga transit/ Miway has 2011-2013 model hear 60 footers, there amazing. Much smoother ride and less rattling compared to the Novas. Mississauga still has a handful of there 2008-2009 new flyers, they were pretty good to. But they're getting to be old and soon to be retired. But I'm a new flyer man, don't care for the 40 foot novas either.
