The melody that Nat and Sinatra sing in the original versions of the song are rhythmically quite different in the second 8 to this lead sheet, which has an addendum at the bottom that says bar 7 & 8 where originally 2 bars each. If you play this with singers who study those versions you'll know. Most of those versions have a rubato but distinctly 6/8 feel in the first 4 bars. Another case of us dumbing down something beautiful and asymettric for mass consumption.

Subscribed! You pack. lot of punch in such short time. Too bad you didn't do this tune in E minor, because my favourite rendition is Jimmy Rosenberg's with Bireli Lagrene (and they play in it E minor). I guess I'll have to transpose your licks two frets higher. Thanks for the lesson!
