Ricochet a main roster talent made a surprise return and called out the "newest top star" of NXT right now which would've been answered by Blak Mike if Jevon Evans didn't beat him to the punch. As Mike watches the promo battle on the screen in gorilla full of frustration, GM Ava stands right next to him and says, "I saw you had that fatal four way won if things went slightly different so how about this, if you can defeat Jevon Evans in the main event tonight, the match against Ricochet at battleground is yours." As Mike's eyes lit up Jevon walks into gorilla asking what he was so excited for as Ava breaks him the bad news... Jevon looks at Mike and says "good luck rook, you're gonna need it."
