Also comparing Tua to Trevor isn’t the same. Jacksonville not only believes in his upside but they are in the process of building a new stadium. So they have reasons to lock up their 1st overall QB that has actually won a playoff game. It helps with sells especially with the fact that they are going to reduce their attendance until they finish building this stadium. Not to mention Trevor’s path to success in his own division is easier. You don’t think teams take that into account. Can their current QB out play his divisional competition. With Tua having the far superior talent, system and less Playoff wins then Baker. My point isn’t to advocate for Baker. It’s to show Tua and Baker aren’t that far apart in stats for Baker to get paid 20 mill per less than Tua lol. Stop it. If Tua had a bad season this year or got hurt for the year, you wouldn’t want to pay him 55+ mill per. That alone should tell you what you truly think of him.

I agree that 48-50 million is a fair deal with decent guarantees. I want them to get a deal done, but tua can't get too greedy. Miami has worked around injuries and gotten coaches that suit his skillset and limitations. This year will truly determine his idenity so if he wants a contract right now right now he needs to accept a fair deal... if he wants to wait and pan on himself, then so be it! Don't overpay if your the organization though.

If there is not an agreement on a contract before training camp Tua should play the upcoming season on the 5th year option. Then, when the Dolphin’s tag him, he should sit out until the Tuesday following the teams 11th game. This ensures he gets credit for the year. With the Dolphin’s paying Waddle andHill, Tua has all the leverage here. Not here to say weather he deserves the contract. That’s for Dolphins fans. Not my business. The reality is pay him or basically start over. Once Hill gets his new contract to not pay Tua would be stupid.

Josh has 88 consecutive starts. Hasn't missed a game since 2018 his rookie year.partially tore his UCL in throwing elbow week 9, 2 years ago. Played the rest of the year till loss to Cincinnati in divisional round. Last year messed up his shoulder vs giants midseason. Played every game till chiefs beat them in divisional round.

Tua is small, has a weak arm, is unathletic relative to the modern QB, and has had multiple catastrophic injuries. Those are facts, not opinions. Nobody in the league thinks or him in the way you're describing. He has the best wide receiver room in the league and a top-5 playcaller. None of the bottom dweller teams you described on the open market would ascibe so much of the Dolphins recent success to him as to think he'd be good on a team without that much talent. That's not a guess, because we saw him be mediocre on the Dolphins without that much talent. Give him a contract in the low- to mid-40s so you can keep talent around him that he obviously needs.

Weak arm quarterbacks don't lead the league in passing yards. Tua too 3 in every passing category last 2 years .Tua won games throwing to guys like jakeen grant. Devante Parker. Mike gesicki. Preston Williams. Lynn bowden Jr. Isiah Ford. Some of these guys Tua made them look good some of these guys no longer in the league. McDaniel being a top 5 call player is ridiculous. His play calling cost them the division last season along with the defense. McDaniel still hasn’t figured out how to use a tight end in his offense. Miami is the only team in the NFL whose tight ends never got into the end zone last season. Tua is apparently their guy going forward with Grier not even looking at or thinking of bringing someone in and possibly compete with Tua. Grier should have gotten this deal long ago when he could have gotten away with paying less 50 million if they knew they were all in with Tua. Tua’s agent knows Miami has no plan B at this point.
